Reveal CommentNicholas Frey bt Dimitri Ttofi (Dec 4) 7-5, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Great game - very tight first set - Dimitri is very fit and got the most difficult balls back. Was very even - just edged it. Second set a bit quicker with tired legs. Look forward to the re-match. "  -- Nicholas
Charlie Brownless bt Tony Navin John (Dec 2) 2-6, 6-4, 7-5
Reveal CommentAnthony Diebra bt Charlie Brownless (Nov 24) 7-5, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "The first set was very close: almost every game went to deuce, and it could have gone either way really. A lot of long rallies and hard-fought points: I had 5 set points at 5/4, all saved by Charlie, and then 3 more at 6/5, but I finally managed to close the set. Thanks for the good game Charlie, look forward to playing soon!"  -- Anthony
Reveal CommentDimitri Ttofi bt Charlie Brownless (Nov 20) 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (10-8)

Player Comments:

  • "This was the closest match ever. No one could get ahead for cery long and every game seemed to have multiple deuces. We were 40 minutes over the 2 hours court booking (and Dukes Meadows is a great indoor venue btw) so decided to have a first to 10 tie-break at 4-4 in the 3rd set (but doesn't seem to let me record that...). I think we both need to generate more power, but still great some long rallies, winners, mistakes, aces, double faults, everything really. All the best Charlie with the rest of the league."  -- Dimitri
Reveal CommentNicholas Frey bt Tony Navin John (Nov 19) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "It was a good and enjoyable game. Tony moved well, varied the tempo a lot and had some very tricky slice shots. I just had a bit more forward momentum which I think decided it on the day. "  -- Nicholas
Reveal CommentAnthony Diebra bt Felipe Werneck (Nov 17) 6-3, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "An enjoyable game with some great rallies - welcome to the league Felipe, looking forward to a rematch in the next round!"  -- Anthony
Reveal CommentAnthony Diebra bt Dimitri Ttofi (Nov 15) 5-7, 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Very enjoyable and competitive game despite the slippery court and wind. First set was a battle with long rallies and hard-fought points. Unfortunately Dimitri injured himself in the second set and couldn't move as well on the court. Hope you get better quickly and looking forward to our next match!"  -- Anthony
Reveal CommentAnthony Diebra bt Nicholas Frey (Nov 12) 6-4, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Great game despite the very humid conditions. Some very close games and great rallies too. Nicholas came back being down 1-4 on the first set to 4-4, but I somehow managed to close out the first set after some long and competitive rallies. The second set was over a bit quicker. Turning point was coming back from 0-40 at 1-1 to win the following 5 games. Thanks for arranging the match Nicholas - look forward to playing again!"  -- Anthony
Reveal CommentIan Hancock bt Dimitri Ttofi (Nov 7) 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "On a windy day, neither of us were entirely happy with our play. But still some good rallies in the second set. I look forward to playing Dimitri again."  -- Ian

Reveal CommentRob Ebert bt Peter Grant (Nov 21) 6-1, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Peter is an absolute gentleman. Whilst the score looks slightly lop sided, the match was not. Peter gets to every ball and made it a competitive match."  -- Robert
Omer Basir bt Rob Ebert (Nov 19) 6-3, 2-6, [10-4]
Reveal CommentAngus Comber bt Antonio Quaresima (Nov 18) 6-0, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Antonio started off a bit rusty and gave me an easier time of it in the first set. However, in the second set Antonio came out blasting and when we were 4-3, I was wondering how I could get the set done. I benefited from a duff service game from Antonio and managed to squeeze in a last game win. Well played Antonio, if you had played as you did in the middle of the second set you could easily have won."  -- Angus
Reveal CommentRob Ebert bt Angus Comber (Nov 12) 6-3, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "The score line did not reflect our levels. We are very close in ability. Neither of us are young, but we are both mobile and so the rallies could last. On a different day, the score-line could well have been reversed. "  -- Robert
Omer Basir bt Antonio Quaresima (Nov 12) 6-1, 6-1
