Good matches in Bexley - well done. Be great to see even more of them when we can all start playing again!

This was a small group and became a bit smaller when, unfortunately, Peter didn't get going. But very well done to everyone for the effort and commitment they put in to their matches and commentaries, it is very much appreciated. Patrick deserves his win, playing more matches than anyone and winning them all. Jason is runner up, just one point ahead of Barbara.

Player Comments:

  • "I felt comfortably in control the first set taking it 6-1. Jason responded well in the second set and started finding his depth and some good angles. I had to dig deep to come out with the win in the end"  -- Patrick

Match of the Group:

Reveal CommentJason Greenwood bt Barbara Pouw (Mar 7) 6-4, 2-6, 7-5

  • "Nice battle. We have played a few matches before. This time Jason was the stronger player. He made mince meat of my second serve. I tried to return the favour, but was not successful enough. I look forward to the rematch already."  -- Barbara
Reveal CommentPatrick McGuinness bt Barbara Pouw (Jan 31) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Great to get this match played today and glad to get the win against Barbara, who always proves to be a tricky opponent. Barbara revealed she had played on both previous days, this may well have played into my hands."  -- Patrick
Reveal CommentPatrick McGuinness bt Christopher Hackett (Jan 25) 6-3, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Chris is back playing tennis after some time out. I could see he had all the shots but just lacked consistency due to lack of time on court. The score was flattering to me, as many games when to juice. Hope we play again soon"  -- Patrick
