Player Comments:

  • "Both me and Lateef expected a long and exhausting duel and it proved to be the one today, lasting over 2,5 hours. I started off better by leading 4-1 in the first set but then Lateef made it to 4-4, when we played over 20 minutes in the 9th game. I was luckier to pull the 6-4 win in this set. It was the opposite in the second set, when Lateef was in the lead at 5-2, only for me to come back from 40-0 on Lateef`s serve (thus 3 set balls) and make it 5-5 later. Then another long tussle up to 6-6. I was very close to the overall win at 6-3 on tie-break, but Lateef being himself went the distance yet again overturning the fortunes and pulling the win at 8-6 in the 2nd set. The final, 3rd set, was a bit quicker but still challenging and tough."  -- Rost
Lateef Abdulsalam bt Amit Gandhi (Apr 8) 6-0, 6-1
Reveal CommentRost Braharnyk bt Amit Gandhi (Apr 5) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Good match with Amit in tricky weather conditions, mixture of sun and wind. I feel that Amit can play better but he needs a bit more practice probably due to long spell of isolation and like most players nowadays feeling rusty. Looking forward to our future match in the league again"  -- Rost
Reveal CommentRost Braharnyk bt Jamie Price (Apr 5) 6-0, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "It has been probably about 4 years since we played our first and last match with Jamie. Regardless of the score line, we had a good hit and both did a bit of running on the court. The weather was not perfect but not that bad considering other parts of the UK where it has been snowing. I am sure we will meet again!"  -- Rost
Lateef Abdulsalam bt Jamie Price (Apr 4) 6-0, 6-2
Reveal CommentRost Braharnyk bt Amish Norda (Apr 1) 6-4, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "I played Amish for the first time and we had a good match, with lots of deuces so very close. Amish mentioned that he plays on different surface thus the location played in my favour somehow. I look forward to playing Amish again soon "  -- Rost

  • "Awesome game and cardio. One of the longest deuces played, about 15 deuces in the last game of the 1st set. Great rallies and game play. Bruno played better, I need to get fit and run more, and also work on ball control. We will play again!!!"  -- Folajimi
