Match Results:

Reveal CommentRichard Howells bt Andy Ferrari (Oct 14) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Andy got off to a slow start, but surged from 5-0 to 5-3 after he began to outlast me in the rallies. I got over the line in a tight 9th game, but Andy continued his good form to go 2-0 ahead with three break point opportunities to take it to 3-0 when the lights went out..... It took us a little while to get back going and I think I benefitted from the delay, recomposing myself and saving the break points and then moving to 5-2 up, before the final two games went with serve. Thanks for the game, Andy. Hope to play again soon!"  -- Richard
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Arnis Lasmanis (Oct 13) 4-6, 7-5, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Felt like I was playing the terminator tonight! Every time I thought I'd hit a winner in first set it just kept coming back relentlessly. Arnis is a very solid player and runs like a machine which got in my head in the first set and definitely disturbed any rhythm I tried to get. First set was won 6-4 by Arnis after he got a crucial break at 4-4 and served out the set. Second set was equally as tight but this time I got a couple of lucky breaks and snuck it 7-5. Honestly didn't think I'd take the 3rd but I feel Arnis has a drop in concentration levels and made several unforced errors which I was grateful to accept. Final score was 4-6 7-5 6-1 to me. Great to meet you Arnis! "  -- Jaeson
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Andy Ferrari (Oct 11) 6-3, 7-6 (7-3)

Player Comments:

  • "Some how managed to survive Andy's booming serves tonight and scrape a 2 set win. I won the first set relatively comfortably but Andy came out fighting in the second, using his height to advantage at the net. The set finished in a tie break in which I took some early breaks and finished 7-3 with a lot of relief as I wasn't too confident of winning a 3rd set decider. Great fun thanks for the match Andy! "  -- Jaeson
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Ritvik Chotai (Oct 9) 7-5, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "An epic 2 hour battle in brilliant autumn sunshine! First set was like a boxing match, going toe to toe and no breaks of serve until 4-4 when Ritvik took the first break. I managed to break back and close out the set 7-5. Second set I put the breaks on a bit and probably played some horrible defensive tennis, forcing the odd error from Ritvik (apologies!) and after a lot of running and long rallies I took the set 6-3. Thanks Ritvik, pleasure to meet and play you. Look forward to the next one! "  -- Jaeson
Arnis Lasmanis bt Andy Ferrari (Oct 7) 6-4, 6-0
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Richard Howells (Oct 3) 6-3, 7-6 (7-3)

Player Comments:

  • "A really competitive match in slightly tricky conditions this afternoon. I got off to a quick start in the first set and won the set 6-3. After a small rain delay Richard came out firing and raced away to a 3-0 lead courtesy of some fast, accurate serving. A lot of deuce games followed and I somehow managed to force a tiebreak which I ran out a 7-3 winner of. Final score 6-3 7-6 (7-3). Look forward to playing another time Richard! "  -- Jaeson
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Viktor Dinnyesi (Sep 29) 6-3, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Viktor had a slow start and his serve wasn't firing so I took the first set 6-3. Second set he mixed up his game plan coming to the net behind his solid volleys. This made a massive difference and I trailed for most of the set finally pulling ahead at 5-5 to close out the match 7-5. Well played Viktor! "  -- Jaeson

Match of the Group:

Reveal CommentRichard Howells bt Ritvik Chotai (Sep 29) 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (11-9)

Player Comments:

  • "Really close match! We both tried and failed to serve out the final set without either of us seeing a match point with Ritvik roaring back from 5-2 down. The tie break was neck and neck all the way with both us seeing a match point. Couple of net cords at crucial moments to but at least it was 1-1 on those! Hope to play again soon"  -- Richard
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Narahari Basnet (Sep 26) 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Perfect playing conditions for our match today. Hari came out a bit slow in the first set but came out with some strong serving and nice cross court shots in the second. I managed to stay on top with some good service games winning 6-1 6-2"  -- Jaeson
Andy Ferrari bt Narahari Basnet (Sep 23) 6-0, 6-1
Richard Howells bt Narahari Basnet (Sep 22) 6-0, 6-1
Arnis Lasmanis bt Narahari Basnet (Sep 18) 6-2, 6-2
Viktor Dinnyesi bt Richard Howells (Sep 15) 6-0, 6-2
Reveal CommentViktor Dinnyesi bt Andy Ferrari (Sep 13) 6-4, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Viktor’s net game finally worked out this match. On the other hand Andy’s way stronger than average serves did not work today unfortunately. Hence the score. On another day it would be the way around. Great match. Thank you Andy. "  -- Viktor
Viktor Dinnyesi bt Marco Frattucci (Sep 13) Walkover
Reveal CommentViktor Dinnyesi bt Arnis Lasmanis (Sep 12) 3-6, 6-4, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "150 minutes :) Some very long rallies and a lot of fun. Thanks for the game Arnis. "  -- Viktor
Reveal CommentJaeson Debarros bt Marco Frattucci (Sep 12) 3-6, 2-0 Marco Frattucci Retired

Player Comments:

  • "Unfortunately an injury retirement for Marco today which is not a good way to take points. A real shame as the match was looking interesting. Marco took the first set relatively easily before I started to find some rhythm at the start of the second, going up 2-0 but then Marco suffered his injury and was unable to continue. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery Marco look forward to playing you another time. Jaeson"  -- Jaeson
Arnis Lasmanis bt Ritvik Chotai (Sep 12) 6-4, 3-6, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "An epic match, with both players hitting winners after long rallies. Andy served really well with at least 5 Aces! A match that went all the way with Ritvik winning 6-4 in the final set decider. An excellent fun match! "  -- Ritvik
Reveal CommentRitvik Chotai bt Viktor Dinnyesi (Sep 2) 4-6, 6-1, 6-2

Reveal CommentRhodri Andrews bt Graeme Clark (Sep 20) 5-7, 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Played across two days, this was a pretty epic match. Graeme did really well to frustrate me in the first set, getting loads of balls back in play when we were playing in pretty slippery conditions. I managed to find my range (and my first serve) a little more but we ran out of time to finish the match. We came back tonight where I managed to seal the match, before playing a friendly set. Graeme was an absolute gent throughout and it was a real pleasure to play him. Thanks for a great match."  -- Rhodri
Reveal CommentAndrew Watson bt Rhodri Andrews (Sep 19) 6-1, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Another highly enjoyable match with Rhodri. I played some good attacking tennis in the first set and served well. But there were some deuce games and a few great rallies. Second set closer and I was probably fortunate for a few unforced errors but it could have swung either way. Small margins. Thanks for the game Rhodri and looking forward to playing again next month."  -- Andrew
Alex Canavan bt Karim Saykali (Sep 12) 6-3, 7-5
Reveal CommentAlex Canavan bt Graeme Clark (Sep 7) 6-0, 4-6, 6-4

  • "A great game with Graeme hitting a variety of shots and keeping me moving! Got better as the match went on!"  -- Alex
Reveal CommentRhodri Andrews bt Alex Canavan (Sep 4) 6-3, 2-6, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "It was a pleasure to meet Alex and oh my word, this was a tight match! Most games went to deuce and I think both players were shattered at the end. Honestly thought this match could have gone either way, especially if Alex had landed a few more of his wicked serves out wide! An absolutely brilliant match. Thanks for a great game, Alex!"  -- Rhodri
