The first set had many unforced errors an a few very nice rallies. From the second set the battle really began, with many great rallies, some volleys, passing shots and a beautiful lob here and there. Bill plays a varied game, making it hard to find rhythm and most balls keep coming back. In the third set he quickly got to 3-0, but I tried to focus on hitting technically nice shots and slowly worked my way back. For some reason, my serve went on the blink so I had to concentrate on keeping the ball in play, moving Callan around and trying to induce a mistake.
