Group Summary:
Graham continued his excellent form from the previous round to claim two group one titles on the bounce, however there were a few bumps along the way. Paul gained revenge for his loss in the previous round with a battling three set win over the champion and Ryan also produced some inspired tennis to emerge victorious. The three set manner of these defeats for Graham did prove decisive as the two extra points he earned from the sets he won were enough to push Ryan and Stephen into second and third place respectively.

Player Comments:
- "After last year's battle with Ryan I had high expectations for this one and it did not disappoint! Again it was settled by a third set tie-break and this match had everything - stunning winners, marathon rallies, momentum going back and forth etc. I look forward to the next one in the summer." -- Stephen
Player Comments:
- "A very competitive match and unfortunately the lights went off during the 2nd set and Stephen couldn't get them to come back on. We will try to get the match finished in the next week or teo" -- Graham
Player Comments:
- "What a battle! Paul deservedly ran away with the first set, and when my string broke at 1-0 down in the second it seemed to be curtains. However Paul very sportingly lent me his spare racket which must contain magic within its strings as it helped me fight back to claim a tight second set. In the decider all the games were close-fought, Paul earned himself a 5-2 lead but I fought back again to force a tie-break. A very enjoyable match, hopefully we'll have many more in future." -- Stephen
Player Comments:
- "A great battle, especially in the second set where Adrian went 5-2 up and on another day would have taken it to a decider. Hope to play again!" -- Stephen
Player Comments:
- "Thoroughly enjoyable match; the first set was very topsy turvy, Ruth went 2-0 up, I then went 5-2 up, Ruth pulled it back to 5-4 and after a multiple deuce game I eventually sneaked the set! Second set continued to be as competitive and was closer than the scoreline suggests. Ruth played great attacking tennis throughout which made it tough from my side of the net! Well played" -- Ryan
Player Comments:
- "A game full of ups and downs, played outdoor in very cold conditions, even tried to snow at one point. Usual swings and roundabout match, no quarter given and both ran to exhaustion at times. Well played Adrian and good luck for the rest of the matches. Paul." -- Paul
Player Comments:
- "Paul and I ran out of time as Corby Tennis Centre was closing, at 1 set all and 4 games all! We shall conclude the match as soon as possible" -- Ryan
- "After battling for two hours, and reaching 1 set all and 4 games all play was halted as we had reached 10pm and Corby Tennis Centre was closing! A dreadful shame as up until that point the match had been forwards and backwards all the way with long rallies, deuce games, breaks of serve etc! We managed to meet back up at Geddington Tennis Club to finish the final set, as no indoor courts were available at Corby. Although there was very little of the match left to be played, it didn't disappoint as we both managed to find our 'groove' straight away and had a number of long rallies! Well played Paul, you didn't deserve to lose the match and I certainly hope we can have a rematch soon," Ryan
