Reveal CommentAaron Malcolm bt Mark Delos Reyes (Apr 8) 7-6 (7-5), 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "What a great match. Mark raced to a 4-0 lead in the first set and initially I was just glad to register a game to make it 4-1. Gradually I pulled back thanks to consistent play and some double faults from Mark. After winning the tie-break we continued the second set and I found myself 5-0 up before Mark started to pull me back! Unfortunately we could not complete before we had to leave the court. Hopefully we can finish it but it was a great game to play in anyway. Thanks Mark."  -- Aaron
  • "Big thanks to Mark for arranging time to complete. Fortunately for me it took 1 game but we enjoyed a great set and tie break after. Thanks again." Aaron

Player Comments:

  • "Aaron was too good dinky slices and his court awareness ruined me ! tried to muster the big comeback in the second set to no avail after being down 5-0 struggled to get his drops and sent me the wrong way many times. Really enjoyable game though Looking forward to the next one. Cheers Aaron enjoy the well earned beer. "  -- Robert
Reveal CommentMark Delos Reyes bt Robert Turnbull (Mar 27) 7-5, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Hard fought match from start to end! I was struggling with my serve for the most part. Lucky for me, Rob is still trying to get a feel of his new racket causing a few unforced errors on his side. Really enjoyed the back and forth competition. Rob is an excellent and solid player all around, looking forward for the next one. Thanks for the game!"  -- Mark

Player Comments:

  • "At over 2 hours for 2 sets plus a championship tiebreak I'm certainly glad I've no matches planned for tomorrow! A more attacking first set was followed by a more tentative second set but either set could have gone either way with set points for both players in each. Most games went to deuce and there were plenty of excellent rallies. A really enjoyable match. Delighted and relieved to have won when it could have gone either way. Thanks Alex. "  -- Murray
Reveal CommentAaron Malcolm bt Nagendra Prakash (Mar 21) 0-4, 5-3, [10-8]

Player Comments:

  • "Really good game. Nagendra played so well at the start that I didn't get close to him. At 0-4, 0-1 I was resigned to a sound beating and was only looking for a consolation game. However, I started to play a bit more composed and steadily got back into the game. The match tie-break was very close and could have easily gone the other way. Thanks to Nagendra for a really good game."  -- Aaron

Player Comments:

  • "Really good match with Alex tonight. The first set was very tight and I believe decided by just the one break...However the second set was more topsy turvy with neither of us maintaining our services games consistently. However the second set produced some great rallies and Alex must have nearly been into double figures with aces..Good fun match"  -- Alex

Reveal CommentAlex Onyeador bt Robert Turnbull (Mar 17) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Great game with Rob on Sunday night, Rob is an excellent player with an excellent serve. However due to a racket change, he was having a few consistency issues. I was a little more consistent but my serve wasn't firing as it usually does. We both hit some great winners and had entertaining rallies. Thanks for the match Rob."  -- Alex
Reveal CommentAlex Onyeador bt Aaron Malcolm (Mar 15) 5-3, 4-0

Player Comments:

  • "Another very competitive game against Aaron but this time I came out on top (which isn't usually the case against Aaron) The first set was extremely tight and decide by a single break of serve and whilst the second looks impressive, anyone who plays shorts set will tell you the scores never truly reflect the match itself. We had an almighty tussle on set point in a game that lasted over 10 minutes I'm sure. Luckily for me, Aaron is coming back to tennis after a while not playing and I think this was the deciding factor! Aaron is always a gentleman on the court and I look forward to our next match"  -- Alex
