- "Enjoyed a chilly evening game with Shona at CL on Sunday evening. Definitely glad we chose indoors as outdoors temps were at -3c. Shona only recently returned to tennis in May after a multi year break. So she has a bit of ring rust. In the warm up though I saw flashes of brilliance and they came out during the first set too. I knuckled down for the second set and managed to hold my serve consistently. We then played a 3rd set for fun and Shona unleashed the beast, hitting numerous clean winners and a sprinkling of aces. She comfortably beat me 4-1. Thanks for the game Shona and be sure to unleash those forehands right from the start :)" -- Alex

After a short warm up, we played some fast and furious shorts sets format tennis and managed to see the game out in the in allotted time. Alastair hit some real eye catching shots that includes aces, forehand and stunning returns. I managed to nick the first set with a steady serve and the second set was much the same. - "This match was played over two sessions. I was 2-0 up in the second set, but down a set, when the first session ended. In between I had tickets to see some of the pros at the BJK Cup in Glasgow. Picked up a few tips and a new mindset and brought that into the playoff. My more aggressive play paid dividends to conclude the second set but Ian fought back and a couple of times went up a break in the third. It was anyone’s game but I kept plugging away and finally got over the line. It ended another highly enjoyable matchup with Ian. " -- Michael
