Player Comments:
- "A very good match with James! Clearly a very good tennis player getting back into the swing of things. The first half of the first set was full of errors with James struggling at the net and myself struggling with my serve. We both started to play better tennis in the second half of the set with me coming through to narrowly win. The second set was far better from both of us - I raced into a 3-0 lead with James coming back to level at 3-3. I managed to break James & hold on to win the set. " -- Stuart
Player Comments:
- "Very good game again with some really fun rallies, especially in a really tough first set. James served for the set at 5-4 but I managed to claw it back and momentum then swung my way. James was a great opponent. " -- Jamie
Player Comments:
- "Great match with some long rallies! The second set was especially tough & could have easily have gone either way - we traded breaks of serve & neither of us could hold our serve to win the set until the last game of the set! Tim is a very good player & if it were not for a few important points going my way the match could have gone Tim's way." -- Stuart
Player Comments:
- "Great way to start a sunny Saturday morning. Tony is one of the most consistent players I've played in Local Leagues. It was a bit one sided in the first set but Tony came back in the second hitting winners off both fore and backhands! Thanks for the hit!" -- Timothy
Player Comments:
- "Despite what the scoreline might suggest, this was a competitive match! James hit some really clever shots and some good rallies were had. James will be a tough opponent for the rest of the division once the cobwebs are blown out!" -- Timothy
Player Comments:
- "A really good game! Jamie and I had some long rally's. He was very consistent & got around the court very well which forced me to go for every shot to win our long rally's. " -- Stuart
Player Comments:
- "Excellent game despite the blustery conditions. Thoroughly enjoyable!" -- Jamie

- "Great game from Chris in very windy conditions making for some tough tennis. Chris really came back in the second set and it wasn't until deep in the third set that the momentum swung my way. Good luck for the remainder of the league, Chris. " -- Timothy
Player Comments:
- "The score line says it all. After a shaky start Jamie settled down, found his rythm, gained in confidence and came within a whisker of winning the second set. He chased down every ball and sent most of them back with interest, making for many long and exhausting rallies and taking the match to almost two hours and proving a worthy opponent in the process." -- Tom
Player Comments:
- "As usual a very competitive match with Chris. Chris started the match very well racing into a 3-0 lead - I held in there & managed to force a tie break. I held my nerve & went onto win the tie break in very even first set. Chris upped his game again in the second set - serving very well & passing me more often than I would have liked. He deservedly won the 2nd set. In the third set my serve started to come together & I got the better of Chris in some long & punishing rally's. Overall a very good match in difficult conditions. " -- Stuart
Player Comments:
- "Well played Chris, I told my wife that I didn't lose 6-1, 6-1, Chris BEAT me 6-1, 6-1 by playing really well and by hitting winners from all parts of the court. I served quite well and my ground shots were going quite well but Chris made very few mistakes and consistently converted his oportunities" -- Tony
Group Summary:
A well contested group with only two points separating position one and four. Josh passed all of the tests put in front of him to finish four wins to the good and edge into the lead. Michael pips Lee to the runner up post with a nail-biting 7-6 final set victory in their epic head to head.

Player Comments:
- "Burnham throughout the match was pretty consistent, however a complete unexplainable collapse on my part in the second set kinda gave the match an interesting twist to the third - not knowing who would come through. Concentration resumed and a break at 4-3 me to serve I pulled through " -- Michael
Player Comments:
- "A much closer game than the score line would suggest. The second set had five breaks of serves in the first five games, one game of which went on for I do not know how many deuces before Burnham rightly won and broke me. " -- Lee

Reveal CommentMichael Fenton bt Lee Kirby (Feb 26) 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4)Player Comments:
- "Played under very windy conditions, but we continued on regardless. I managed to cope early and won the first set however lee executed some good shots in the second set which he won and carried that momentum to the third and final leading 4-1. Somehow I managed to force the issue and minimize errors got to six all - tie break and served reasonably well to win. Very close but a good match ! " -- Michael
Group Summary:
Fantastic organisational skills from group three means we were kept busy in the prize department as everyone earned their bonus points. Jo takes the satisfaction of being the only player to beat Graham and had she played and won just one more match she could have claimed the title. But as it is Graham's commitment to getting all his matches played combined with some powerful tennis sees him take the crown at the first time of asking.
