Player Comments:

  • "It was a pleasure to meet and play with Linton on what was a really nice sunny October day (surprising!) in Belair Park. The sun was actually a nuisance at the park end, no excuses but it did cause me to lose at least 2 games more than I should have :D me and Linton had some nice rallies and I really enjoyed it, especially Linton's netplay and net rushes! I think with the light it forced us both in a bit more :) well played pal and all the best for the near future! Patrick"  -- Patrick

Player Comments:

  • "A Sunday afternoon at Belair Park with the sun, what could be better? It was great to see Tom again and have another match, really enjoyed it. There were some cool rallies, Tom was able to chase down most that I could hit across, and loved the net approaches. I just somehow was able to pull it out and find a few good passing shots! Thanks a lot Tom for the nice match, all the best pal :)"  -- Patrick
Reveal CommentSerge Bieri bt Patrick Davey (Sep 21) 6-4, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "It was a pleasure to welcome Serge to my tennis club on a nice Tuesday evening, it was a great and competitive match, tiring too! I am disappointed to have not won or at least got the 2nd set, but it was exciting to be a part of this close match, we even lost three balls in the process to the trees! It was difficult to break down Serge's backhand slice, I felt like often I should have been more aggressive, though sometimes I wasn't allowed to, or it was probably harder than I thought. We had an epic game in the 9th game of the 2nd set, many deuces and long rallies. I lost that and with it the momentum, Serge was able to close it out from there, and now potentially the group! Well played pal :) Patrick"  -- Patrick

Player Comments:

  • "It was a pleasure to welcome Howard to North Dulwich Tennis Club on a lovely Sunday evening, the day after Emma's epic display! It felt like everyone was trying to channel dear Emma, with varying success... I had a lot of fun in this match, me and Howard had some great rallies, certainly a lot of running was done on both sides of the net! I was just able to hold out more in the long rallies and play some shots when I needed, but otherwise it was a great battle, wish you all the best Howard and thanks for coming down!
