- "In this 67th instalment of the most iconic tennis fixture in Eastbourne, it was the one of the first played under the lights at Hampden Park. Jerome, with World Cup fever, decided to try and imitate his hero Ronaldo and dropped an absolute stinker in the first set. Daniel, with some Isneresque serving stormed into a first set lead, bagelling his dear friend and rival 6-0. After a tactical timeout and the consumption of some questionable substances, Jerome came out swinging in the second set, quite literally! After many close games in the second set Daniel managed to get the crucial break and held on despite some signature Jerome cheeky plays, including one drop shot with enough spin to make even slicemaster Craig’s eyes water. gg Jerome" -- Daniel

- "Another real battle with lots of momentum shifts and deuces. Jerome had the edge in the first set and came back well in the second after I won the first 5 games. With grey clouds looming over us a postponement looked inevitable but somehow the rain held off, both the second and third sets were close finishes and could of gone either way, well played Jerome, look forward to next time." -- Ian

- "Three things are sure in this life, death, taxes and Craig's slice forehand. The sight of his slice is enough to make an opponents blood run cold as they realise regular top spin rallies won't exist. In the first set Jerome managed to play balls deep and stay on his toes to pick the skidding slices up off the damp court seeing a close 6-4 win for him. During the break Craig dove into his bag revealing what might as well have a been a pizza slicer. It was in fact the exact same model racket just strung at 59lbs lending to an even more devasting knifed slice. From then on Craig toyed with Jerome as he sent him lower than Graham Potter after this weekends revenge match. The two locked horns in the final set but Craig's consistency prevailed." -- Jerome
