Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Aqib Mohammad (Mar 9) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Good weather for our game at Cannon Hill this morning. Aqib had some good shots and caught me out with some of his slices. He deserved at least one game and played three excellent winners during a game he was unlucky to lose. Overall, an enjoyable match. Thanks."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentMalhar Patel bt Majid Rezadoost (Mar 6) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Majid started both the sets very aggressively and took first games from me. The score doesn’t show the intensity of the game as almost all games were not easy to win for me. I had to be very focused throughout the match to maintain the score lead as I am very sure if I took the second set casually then Majid would have made an easy comeback into the match. Thank you for a tough match Majid, hoping to see you again on court. "  -- Malhar
Reveal CommentDan Kings bt Oliver Dean-walker (Mar 5) 6-1, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Such a good match. Thanks Olly for booking up David Lloyd in Worcester (saved me a long journey somewhere). It’s clear that Olly is a good tennis player, and with more game time he will be a match for anyone. First set I came out firing and seemed to be hitting a lot of winners, coupled by a few mistakes by Olly as he was feeling his was into the match. Second set was a completely different match, Olly raced into a 4-0 lead playing solid and consistent tennis, and just seemed to be everywhere on the court and getting the ball back! Really had to dig deep to win that second set. I think the word “deuce” is going to haunt me for some time too. Absolute pleasure Olly, and I’m sure we will be in touch for another hit"  -- Dan
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Peter Drake (Mar 3) 6-2, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "I can only really echo what Dan and Malhar said about Peter, who is absolutely brilliant to play against and I can only dream of being able to compete on a tennis court when I reach retirement age. Lovely to play at a sunny Pype Hayes Park again after a long time and we played some enjoyable doubles against a pair of regulars at the park as well. Really enjoyable afternoon. Thanks, Peter."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentDan Kings bt Aqib Mohammad (Mar 3) 6-1, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Great to meet Aqib for the first time this morning in the sunshine. Despite the scoreline, there were some good rallies and Aqib hit some great drop shots and forehand winners. With more regularity and consistency of playing tennis and getting back into it after a lay off, Aqib’s game will only get better! Good luck for your remaining matches"  -- Dan
Reveal CommentSebastien Nicolas bt Ahmed Hashim (Mar 2) 6-1, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "The score line does not reflect the quality of the games which were at times very tight and going to Deuce - Ahmed is a very fit and resilient player that will cover the court easily over long rallies . Good luck for your next games Ahmed !"  -- Sebastien
Reveal CommentDan Kings bt Peter Drake (Feb 29) 6-0, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Pleasure to meet and play Peter for the first time, a top guy! Despite the scoreline there were numerous close games and long rallies. I hope I’m still as active as you are when I get to your age Peter, unbelievable! All the best for the rest of your matches."  -- Dan
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Majid Rezadoost (Feb 29) 6-1, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Really enjoyed this match against a strong tennis player, who is playing in unknown weather and on different courts to what he's used to. Majid has some very powerful shots but found the slightly slippery courts a challenge. It's clear that Majid is a very good tennis player and he will find it easier in spring/summer on dry courts. Keep playing. I hope we get to play our game in the Solihull League soon and continue to play tennis in the future. Thanks for the game."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentPeter Drake bt Ahmed Hashim (Feb 26) 6-4, 4-6, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Great to meet and play Ahmed, we were well matched shown by the close scoreline over two hours of rallying, numerous deuces as well as the shot of the match from Ahmed, a brilliant running cross-court forehand passing shot. A strong wind meant that on one side a tapped shot flew over the baseline, on the other the opposite obviously. Very enjoyable match where Ahmed chased down every ball to the last. Exhausting to play against but thanks for the game. "  -- Peter
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Oliver Dean-walker (Feb 25) 6-2, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Really enjoyable two hours of tennis this evening. The scoreline makes it look one-sided but Ollie is a very good tennis player. A break from the sport means his timing isn't at the level it was previously, but there's no doubt he'll get back to his best and when that happens, he'll be very difficult to beat. We had some great rallies and played a friendly set as well. Thanks for organising the court at David Lloyd and I look forward to playing again in the future. "  -- Richard
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Ahmed Hashim (Feb 24) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "We had to delay the game this morning to allow the court to defrost! Thanks for your patience, Ahmed. It was a really enjoyable match against today and there's no doubt Ahmed will continue to improve as he plays more regularly. A game played in the right spirit with good shots from both of us."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentDaniel Ahmed bt Aqib Mohammad (Feb 24) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Great to meet Aqib for the first time. Damp and even icy conditions, the score line looks harsh since many games went to deuce. Good luck in the rest of your matches."  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentMalhar Patel bt Peter Drake (Feb 23) 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Lovely weather and a good match with Peter. Well played Peter. I am sure the score would be the other way around if you were in your 20s too. Loved the enthusiasm, keep going Pete! Good luck for your future games. "  -- Malhar
Reveal CommentOliver Dean-walker bt Majid Rezadoost (Feb 18) 5-7, 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Great game, lots of long rallies and close points! When Majid found his first serve was hard to return at times. A match that could have gone either way really with a few key points being the only difference. Look forward to playing again and best of luck with your remaining matches"  -- Oliver
Reveal CommentAhmed Hashim bt Aqib Mohammad (Feb 17) 6-1, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "It was a fun match today in a bit muddy court and struggling to run fast . Aqib had some slices that hard to return back . Good luck in your future games. Ahmed "  -- Ahmed
Reveal CommentDaniel Ahmed bt Majid Rezadoost (Feb 17) 6-2, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Nice to meet Majid for the first time. The match was extremely fun and the 2nd set was super competitive and could have gone either way. Good luck in the rest of your games!!!"  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentDan Kings bt Ahmed Hashim (Feb 14) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Great to meet and play against Ahmed for the first time. Despite the scoreline there were some great rallies and a fair few deuces, one game in particular there seemed to be about 6 or 7 of them! Ahmed pretty much tracked down every single shot I made to make me play that extra shot and never gave in. Good luck for the rest of the league and will no doubt play again soon"  -- Dan
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Dan Kings (Feb 8) 6-1, 7-6 (7-5)

Player Comments:

  • "Firstly, thanks to Dan for coming to Solihull to play on my 'home court' at Tudor Grange as the weather has been so poor that we've struggled to find time to play outdoors. It took Dan a little while to adjust to a different surface but when he did in the second set, I knew I had to fight just to stay in it. The second set was the usual battle myself and Dan enjoy but in truth, I was very lucky to win it, with some close points going my way. Always a great match and I look forward to our next game, whether it's in the next league or a friendly."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentMalhar Patel bt Ahmed Hashim (Feb 7) 6-1, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Thanks for showing up for a match on a lovely afternoon, Ahmed. It was great meeting you and good luck for your future matches. "  -- Malhar
Reveal CommentDaniel Ahmed bt Peter Drake (Feb 4) 6-1, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "The wind played a massive part in the match, Peter is a tricky customer with great shots in his bag! Good luck in your future matches."  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentMajid Rezadoost bt Aqib Mohammad (Feb 4) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "I’m happy to meet Aqib and I wish him the best. We had a good match but I wasn't focused enough to play today. The wind greatly affected the game but I was able to win."  -- Majid
Reveal CommentDaniel Ahmed bt Ahmed Hashim (Feb 3) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "A fun match in some windy conditions, Ahmed found a way to get everything back. Good luck in your future games!"  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Malhar Patel (Feb 1) 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "A scoreline that doesn't show Malhar's ability! He's quick around the court, has a very strong first serve and can hit winners from anywhere. I never felt confident that Malhar wouldn't come back into the match so had to remain consistent throughout to make sure he didn't take control. A great match and the scoreline will no doubt be very different next time we play. "  -- Richard
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Daniel Ahmed (Jan 29) 6-0, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Great to finally get up and running so thanks to Dan for playing despite only having a guaranteed hour under floodlights and with the courts being damp. I knew there'd be lots of rallies and I knew Dan would chase down every ball. I wasn't disappointed! I just seemed to be able to edge most games today, making it a pretty harsh scoreline on Dan. Great to play a few friendly games at the end as well. Our second match and I certainly hope we'll play again soon as it's a good quality, friendly game between us. Thanks, Dan."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentDan Kings bt Daniel Ahmed (Jan 27) 6-3, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Second time playing Dan, and equally as enjoyable. A good competitive first set, where I managed to play consistent enough at the right times to take it. Second set and with a set behind me (and the fact it was Dan’s second match of the day…) the confidence grew and managed to start hitting a few more winners freely and managed to wrap up the set fairly quickly. Thanks for the match Dan, hope the legs aren’t too achey tomorrow!"  -- Dan
Reveal CommentDan Kings bt Majid Rezadoost (Jan 27) 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Great to meet Majid for the first time. Unexpectedly the wind seemed to pick up and make an appearance during our match, which made things a bit tricky. After playing earlier in the day and “warmed up”, I managed to play solid and consistent against Majid’s lefty and very varied style of tennis, really had to be on my toes to chase down the slicing and deft drop shots Majid was regularly firing, as well as returning his powerful serves! Good luck for the rest of your matches Majid "  -- Dan
Reveal CommentMalhar Patel bt Daniel Ahmed (Jan 27) 6-2, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "It was a great match, Dan. Good luck with your future matches! "  -- Malhar
Reveal CommentMalhar Patel bt Dan Kings (Jan 26) 6-4, 1-6, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "What a match Dan! A proper roller coaster ride mate. A few slices, some fabulous angles and a lot of powerful serves from Dan to thrash me in the second set but I took over into the third set pretty much with a bit more consistency than the second set. It was a nice match, and good luck with your future matches :)"  -- Malhar
Reveal CommentMajid Rezadoost bt Ahmed Hashim (Jan 24) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "It was a wonderful match with Ahmed Has him today. He was agile. He is a talented player and he will improve in the next games. The weather was so windy and it affected the match process I had no experience playing in this weather. Thank you Ahmed for today. I enjoyed. Majid"  -- Majid
  • "The game was good and I enjoyed playing with Majid even though I lost still not bad as the first time on the league." -- Ahmed
Reveal CommentMalhar Patel bt Sebastien Nicolas (Jan 22) 6-2, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "It was a wonderful match with Sebastien today. He played really well and sliced some fabulous angles. I underestimated his serves in the first set but he blasted a few at me in the second set, which made me loose one more game compared to the first set. Overall, it was a good match and lovely meeting Sebastien. "  -- Malhar
Reveal CommentOliver Dean-walker bt Sebastien Nicolas (Jan 19) 6-4, 6-1

Player Comments:
