"Matches between myself and Tom are always close but I have to be honest, this was heading towards a comfortable victory for Tom after the first set. He won it 6-3 and then the second was quite scrappy. I was able to win it 6-3 but it was barely deserved. Due to the time, we then had to play a Championship Tie Break which really could've gone either way. Thanks for another close match, Tom." -- Richard

"Our match started in very tough conditions with heavy rain and wind. This lasted 30 minutes or so and the remainder of the match the weather was ok but the courts were still slippery hampering movement. Lee had good shots and hit a hard ball especially on his serve and forehand. I managed to just stay in the points longer and edged it, would imagine it’ll be a very different match in the summer in good conditions. Enjoyable game, looking forward to the next one. " -- Tom

"An undeserved win on a windy Saturday morning! David was the better player in the first set and won it well, serving a few aces along the way. The second set was similar and David deserved to win it, but I stayed in the rallies a bit longer and scraped the set. That gave the confidence to take the third and ultimately the match. Apologies to David for some frustration I showed at my performance during set two. An enjoyable game overall. " -- Richard

"Match was played in tricky windy conditions. Rob came out firing with multiple forehand winners and quickly won the first 5 games. Although I then won the next 4 games, it was too late for me to save the first set. I was able to serve better and also cut down my unforced errors to take the second set. In the third set, Rob raised his game while trailing 2-3 and was soon serving for the match at 5-3. I tried to hang on to each point and managed to level the set at 5-all. Both of us fought tooth and nail in the last game, which consisted of countless deuces and Rob saving about 6 match points! This match could have gone either way but I was just a little fortunate to win on this occasion. Thank you Rob for this epic and enjoyable match." -- Hong Giap

"Having played and practised hitting on rather icy and slippery court conditions recently, it felt wonderful to be able to play today's league match on a dry court in calm weather condition. Although not reflected in the scores, there were many long baseline rallies with a number of games going to deuce, especially in the second set. However, I was able to play overall more consistently today and kept my unforced errors down, which I think made the difference in the end. Thank you Jayant for an enjoyable game.
