Collapse AllEnfield Parks Singles - Round 46 | Thursday 11 June 2020 to Wednesday 5 August 2020 (Midpoint: Wednesday 8 July 2020)

It was great to see friendly, competitive tennis return to the courts of Enfield Parks post-lockdown and to welcome 7 new players to the league alongside regulars and returners. Well done for dusting off your rackets and collectively you played nearly three quarters of all possible matches which is a great effort. Thank you for supporting your local league and we hope to see you back in the next round!

Group Summary:

It was neck and neck at the top of Group 1 with Antonio and Sean both finishing on 10 points so Antonio's 3 set win in their head to head secured him the title. Sean had to work hard for both his wins, managing to stave off a third set against Simon but going the full distance against Daniel. This was their first encounter so we look forward to the re-match! Sean was involved in the group's other 3 set tussle, this time losing to Brian in the closest of scorelines. Great tennis!

Due to Ronnie's tricky shots, I really did focus on trying to be as conssitent as possible but the outcome could have been very different otherwise. "  -- Ashley

The closest scoreline was between Fragkiskos and Alexander, while Chris had to call on his defensive skills to seal the win against Nikolaos as his serve was "malfunctioning" that day!
