- "Thanks to Lee for the early morning game in the rain. A lot of Deuces and break point chances not taken!" -- Adam
Player Comments:
- "Very pleasant 7am game at Heavitree Park! A topsy turvy one, with Lee suddenly upping his game out of nowhere and hitting a red hot streak in the 2nd set, taking 5 games in a row at one point to turn the match on its head. Unfortunately for him, Lee missed a few at the start of the 3rd set that he was making in the 2nd which enabled me to get ahead again. Cheers Lee, looking forward to our next encounter." -- Rory

- "Beautiful morning for tennis and we had the courts to ourselves. Super competitive match. Thanks Sam and best of luck with your remaining matches. " -- Lee
Player Comments:
- "Sam has an evil evil slice! Great game." -- Paul
Player Comments:
- "Great match, won by John on his 4th match point. Very solid all round game from John, who flew out of the blocks into a 4-0 lead in the first set, and then was always just ahead in the second set, with both of us unable to hold serve for 8 breaks in a row. Cheers John, see you in the box league for the next exciting installment!" -- Rory

Player Comments:
- "Nice game on a Sunday morning! Neither could quite find a consistent patch to take control of the match, first set especially yo-yoing in score with an extremely tight ending 10-8 in tie break. Both playing some great winning shots followed by unforced errors on a slightly slippery surface with a bit of wind causing havoc with our serves." -- James
Player Comments:
- "Really fun game with some hard hitting rallies, lots of games going to deuce! Ant was very attacking and played some wonderful passing shots when I attempted to come to the net. Ultimately both our unforced errors decided the games. " -- James
Player Comments:
- "Incredible game. Just over 2 and a half hours in the hot sun. It was a battle from the start, first set score did not reflect the play as most games were deuce games going to 3 or 4 deuce's. The next two sets were a really equal battle with long rallies and both of us producing some cracking shots right to the last point. Fab game thanks Andrew. Look forward to our next meeting. " -- Rob
Player Comments:
- "Great game in the blazing sunshine. JB played his Dominic Thiem backhand a few times and it’s unplayable when it hits the mark! Look forward to a rematch 😀" -- Rob
Player Comments:
- "Well played David! An eventful match with your injured hand and strings breaking, great sport! Good luck for the rest of the round. " -- Matthew
Player Comments:
- "A great game of tennis. Thanks Ant. Lots of variety and plenty of winners from both sides, really enjoyable. " -- Rob
Player Comments:
- "Great match, lovely weather. Thanks :)" -- Matthew
Player Comments:
- "Really good and enjoyable 1st game in the league, the first set could have gone either way, most games going to deuce and set settled via a tie break! Both of us had consistent spells and I was fortunate to get a lot of help from the net with a few shots clipping the net on important points. Thank you for the game Dave!" -- James
Player Comments:
- "Another fine evening at Heavitree with the sun low in the sky and minimal wind. It was Matt's first game for a long time and he did well keeping the ball coming back and deep too. Both of us were plagued by our own serves although Andrew seemed to get something together of his in the second set. Thanks for the travel tips Matt. " -- Andrew
Player Comments:
- "The wind dropped for perfect conditions for a tennis match with the sun at the side but not too hot. The top of the net got quite a bit of play but didn't seem to favour one side of the other. Hard fought games with the best rallies coming in the last couple of games. " -- Andrew
