Reveal CommentWill Salt bt Martha Lee (May 29) 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-4), 7-5Player Comments:
- "This was an epic match! Both of us had some come from behind games, and no one got ahead for very long before the other came roaring back. Martha hit some really powerful shots that had me running all over the place, and the longer a rally went on the more likely it was she would win the point. I paid the price for all the running when we went to a third set on what felt like the hottest day of the year so far. By the end we were both running on fumes, and it could easily have gone either way - a really fun match played in great spirits. I won't be able to walk for days. Thanks for a great game, Martha!" -- Will
Player Comments:
- "We played so long both of us ran out of water. It was a hard fought duel but very enjoyable and with good humour on both sides. There were times when it looked like either of us could win, with many games going to deuce. In the last set I started to pull ahead only to see Will take back four games making me very nervous." -- Daniel
- "This was such a great game! Well played Daniel." -- Will
Player Comments:
- "Just squeezed the match in before the sky darkened with rain clouds! Thanks for the game Will." -- Rob
Player Comments:
- "Glorious weather after such a miserable day made playing a delight. Managed to get a bit of consistency in my play for once! Great game Martha, some cracking shots in amongst the shockers we both played ?" -- Rob
Player Comments:
- "Great to be running around the court chasing balls after the wet spell. We'd just finished when the rain started again!" -- Andrew
Player Comments:
- "Really enjoyable game, I came out of the blocks very quickly but Andrew battled back in second set, lots of long deuces what felt like two or three games in one. Andrew adapted well to my game very well in second set. We were Pretty evenly matched but I just nicked it in the end. Weather report was windy with light drizzle and hints of sunshine.. great game Andrew. Good luck with the rest of your matches.. " -- Christopher
Player Comments:
- "A good game of tennis, Martha having a bit of an off day (her words) A few close games. Bit of wait for a court with Heavitree being very busy, luckily weather held out for us.. good luck Martha in your remaining games.. " -- Christopher
