Group Summary:
A group full of nail-biting contests often played in the heat. A very high percentage of all possible matches played too. At the final count, James W tops the group with 14 points but bragging rights go to James B who beat the champ in a match that needed 3 sets and two tie breaks to decide it. It doesn't get much closer. Congratulations to both.

Player Comments:
- "A very fun game played on a muggy morning with Wireless blaring out in the background, although think the main stage just kicked off as we finished so lucky to avoid that noise! First set was pretty even with a strong start from Paul and myself finding my rhythm after first couple of games. Tie Break was well fought with some hard hitting and serving. In the second Paul had a blinder and served and volleyed well making it difficult for me to find any tempo. Thanks to a dip in play from Paul, managed to take first 2 games to which he responded taking it to 2-2. Managing to get a hold on serving was able to run away with the third set. Enjoyable game with Paul now 2-1 up in games played so far! " -- James
Group Summary:
The Wireless Festival added a sound track to matches this round but the tennis was more than a contest for the music. Take the match between David and Mark in which the tie break went to 17-15! "A tie break to match the tension of Fed v Djoks', said David. When the last ball was packed away and the counting completed, Bruno had the most points but Mark, who actually beat him, was just one point behind! Both won 5 and lost 2 but Bruno picked up an extra point for a set won in a match he lost. Every point counts!

Group Summary:
The top 4 players in this group all won 5 matches and those who finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th all got 12 points. How is that for close matches! A quick look at the rule book shows Alistair won (he got the most points), then we discount one of Christoph's match as it was a walkover. That leaves Luke and Valerio vying for second place and as Luke won the head to head, he takes silver while 3rd placed Valerio gets bragging rights for beating the champ! Credit too to Ashley who apparently saved about 5 match points in his tbc match against Alistair. Very well done all!

Very well done! Leanne and Dan both finished on 8 points but as Leanne won the head to head, she takes gold this time. Congratulations!

The first match of this round turned out to be between the eventual champ (Jamie) and runner up (Drew) and very tense it was too. Jamie found himself a set and 3-1 up, just like Plíšková v Konta at the US Open, when his opponent came storming back! But whereas Konta went on to win, Jamie held on. It went to tie break, and Jamie prevailed. Just goes to show how close tennis can be - and well played both!
