Collapse AllHolland Park and KMP Singles - Round 37 | Thursday 16 January 2020 to Wednesday 11 March 2020 (Midpoint: Wednesday 12 February 2020)
Busy courts and wintry weather made it a little more difficult to get matches played this round, but when players did get on court we were rewarded with some excellent tennis. Thank you all for your commitment and support... see you back on court again soon!
Group Summary:
Rather too many matches were left on the cutting room floor this time, but it was a chance for newcomer Sahil to shine! His success was built on getting more matches played than anyone else and that allowed him to avenge a close defeat to Scott by finishing the round on top of the table. Shame Saed and Sebastian didn't get going this time but let's hope the warmer weather will bring many more matches.

Group Summary:
What a fantastic group - all but one match played and so many of them were minor classics. Suitably for such a close group, no one could maintain a completely clean slate and in terms of win/loss Peter and Diego tied on won five, lost one, and Raj needed just one more win to join that club! The laurels finally go to Peter who not only edged a win over Diego but picked up a point for a set won in his loss to Raj. Well played all.

Group Summary:
A brilliant debut performance from Christopher, and all the time chased hard by Liz who also had an excellent round. Each of the top four players earned their bonus points so in the end it was the on-court performances that decided things. Both Liz and Christopher completed five matches and only their head-to-head separated them, a win that went Christopher's way and earned him gold this time!

In retrospect we should have played a tie break in lieu of the third set as we only had 20 minutes available at the end of the second set. Neither of us thought to do that. We are hoping to finish the last set before the round finishes but that may not be possible.." -- John
