When Local Tennis League's top honchos Nigel and Sally used to live in Edinburgh Inverlieth Park was one of their favourite places so it is great to see this league thriving. Over two thirds of the possible matches were played this round and your nice match reports conjure up memories of long summer evenings of tennis! Thank you all for your enthusiasm and support, but all this nostalgia made us think the photos we have on the site don't do the park justice. Group Summary:
Chris maybe new to the league but he knows how to win tennis matches! With very good early scheduling he quickly notched up four good wins and earned his bonus points. But that didn't mean it was all over bar the shouting! By playing one more match equalling his tally of wins Olivia (also new to the league) was able to draw level on points. So it was all down to their head-to-head ("Much tighter match than score suggests, more deuces than I can count!), and that means this time Chris is our champ. An excellent group full of good tennis. Everyone won at least one match and Robert's tally of three wins gives him the bronze. Who will challenge Chris next time?

Not quite as many matches were played in this group and Chris was able to dominate when he got on court earning a top finish without too much fuss! Douglas came closest probably to making an impression on Chris's game and his own two wins earn him the silver.
