  • "The weather forecast was for gale force winds, rain etc and after a few to and fro we decided to give it a go. An enjoyable game of tennis played in good spirit. The wind picked up in the second and Xin’s serves was affected but the level of tennis did not go down…"  -- Avery

Player Comments:

  • "Very dry, blustery conditions at Kesgrave courts for this match. The wind played a good game to push balls in, out, and all about. Pip claimed the first despite many excellent points and deuce games. Austin started strong in the second set with a good hold and later a fantastic cross court forehand winner to bring the score back to 3-2. Tough conditions for the match, but very enjoyable tennis. Thanks, Austin!"  -- Philippa

Player Comments:

  • "Another competitive and entertaining game of tennis played in windy conditions at Kesgrave sports club. The wind made fun and games with our serves and returns but in a game played in the usual friendly spirit this did not matter. The second set was a tough encounter with both players getting to grips with the windy conditions and could have gone either way. "  -- Avery

Player Comments:

  • "Me and Stuart have played a few times over the years, but today's match was the best we've contested. 3 hard fought sets , over nearly 3 hours. Lots of winners and attacking play, ending with 2 tired players. Our practise games over the last month have really helped to get me match fit. Thanks for the game Stuart. "  -- Mark
