Player Comments:

  • "Morning game @Kingston Rec which meant courts were a bit slippery and it was really difficult to feel confident about your footwork on the court. It was a match of 2 halves - I was 4-6, 0-4 down but then managed to find some better rhythm and won the next 12/13 games. Thanks Antoine for the game."  -- Siddhartha

Player Comments:

  • "Charlie has great ground strokes and played some really nice tennis. Thanks for the match. "  -- David
Reveal CommentSiddhartha Kunzru bt James Crisp (Sep 24) 6-3, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "James & I know each other’s game inside out having played quite a few times over the past year or so. It’s always a battle against him as there are no easy points with his exceptional defensive skills. 1st set was pretty close till 3-3 when I managed to string a few games together. 2nd set was relatively easier but still had to work really hard for this win. Great game mate, all the best for remaining matches!"  -- Siddhartha
Jourden Langhorn bt David Maybank (Sep 18) 7-5, 6-3
Reveal CommentSiddhartha Kunzru bt Charlie Tait (Sep 17) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Perfect conditions for tennis - scoreline is a bit harsh for Charlie as he is a much better player than the score suggests. We played a friendly set after the match which was way closer. Thanks Charlie for the game."  -- Siddhartha
Reveal CommentJames Crisp bt David Maybank (Sep 13) 6-4, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Match was played over two different days as the first set went on for nearly 90 minutes! Thanks for a great match Dave, hopefully play again soon"  -- James
Reveal CommentAntoine Bardin bt Charlie Tait (Sep 12) 6-4, 6-2

Reveal CommentSiddhartha Kunzru bt Jourden Langhorn (Sep 7) 6-3, 6-2

Player Comments:

Reveal CommentSiddhartha Kunzru bt Guy Crozier-Vernon (Sep 5) 6-0, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Really enjoyed this match, perfect sunny conditions and lovely courts. Thanks Guy for inviting me over to Coombe club, it was great to meet you. "  -- Siddhartha
Reveal CommentDavid Maybank bt Antoine Bardin (Sep 4) 4-6, 6-0, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Antoine started very strongly executing many clean winners during the first set. A broken string and change of racket swung the momentum and he struggled to find the same level in the second and third sets. "  -- David
Reveal CommentDavid Maybank bt Siddhartha Kunzru (Aug 30) 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "I managed to edge a very tight first set on the tie break. From there Sid came back strong and played some great tennis in set 2. In the end he made a few too many errors allowing me back in to win the third. Sid plays in a very attacking aggressive style, when it comes off his cross court forehand winners and drop shots are incredible. Well played. "  -- David

Reveal CommentNiccolo Cianchini bt Piers Lee (Sep 6) 4-6, 6-4, [10-2]

Player Comments:

  • "Piers is a nice person to play with, friendly and fair in his calls. He plays solid from the baseline and has a nice touch perfect for drop shots. We started the match with one of the sides of the courts being exposed to the direct sun light so it made very hard for both of us to play our tennis. As the sun went down the situation improved and we were able to have longer rallies and enjoy the game. Piers was able to dominate the first set while I had a good comeback during the the second set despite lack of energies from both side maybe due to the high temperatures and poor hydration. Too many unforced from Piers during the Super Tie-break helped me winning the match. Thanks Piers! "  -- Niccolo
