Collapse AllKingston Parks Singles - Round 5 | Thursday 4 July 2019 to Wednesday 28 August 2019 (Midpoint: Wednesday 31 July 2019)
Some fun matches in the 'sweltering heat' this round and a great effort by both groups. The overall match stats would have been considerably higher had it not been for 3 withdrawals. Two were injury related so do hope the players concerned are fighting fit again now and here's to the next round!
Group Summary:
If you could keep the unforced error count down and the successful rallies up, you should be on to a winning formula. It certainly seemed to work for Siddhartha, who tops this group with 6 wins out of six. Runner up Alex was only two points behind and had a 'great game of tennis' with the champ in which he mounted a great come back in the second set. But Siddhartha says he 'just about managed to hang on in the tie break' to win the match. Well played!

Group Summary:
A couple of withdrawals unfortunately reduced the available matches here so all credit to the new champ Dev who played 4 and runner up James who played 5! Great stuff. They actually tied on points but Dev won the head to head to take gold this time. Well played.

- "Fun match in the sweltering heat. It took Ben almost 2 sets to warm up - mounting a valiant comeback at 2-5 in the second - taking it all the way to a tie-break, but thankfully not quite to a third set... As the momentum had definitely shifted and Ben was coping better with the heat. Great to play you again Ben - looking forward to the next one. James. " -- James
