Player Comments:
- "Great meeting Seungwon. Thank you! 😊 " -- David
Player Comments:
- "Fun match with Seungwon on Bank Holiday Monday. Seungwon's strengths are his first serve, his forehand return and excellent dropshots which won him a lot of points today. Look forward to playing again. " -- Tom
Player Comments:
- "Such a great game against Harpal! A near 3 hours game where neither of us wanted to give in. After winning the first set, Harpal raised his game and won the second one 6-2. The 3rd set was very close where we couldn't hold our serve. I had few match points at 5-4 well defended by Harpal, the game then finished on a tie break with both of us exhausted after this very long game. Well played Harpal !" -- Anthony
Player Comments:
- "Very enjoyable match with Martin at Leamington Tennis Club. Martin really found his range with his serve in the second set hitting several aces as well as plenty of forehand and dropshot winners. " -- Tom
Player Comments:
- "Nice game with Martin on a sunny and warm day in Leamington. Lots of deuce and nice rallies! Good luck for the rest of the round." -- Anthony
Player Comments:

Player Comments:
- "Great fun game with Martin on a nice day in Warwick. We had some nice rally and nice shots.I enjoyed that!" -- Anthony
Player Comments:
- "Good game of tennis in tough windy conditions. I would say the score doesn’t represent the reality of the match because we had many deuces during it. Quite happy to play against Seungwon and looking forward to play against him again." -- Enrique
Player Comments:
- "Very enjoyable and very early match at Leamington tennis club with David, I started well and manage to close out the first set at 6-1. David raised his game and broke me in the first game of the 2nd set, and was threatening to do for the next few of my service games. I manage to hold on over some long games and long rallies. Finally, the tide turn when I managed to break back to make 3-3 and then held on to win from there. Well played David" -- Harpal
Player Comments:
- "Very enjoyable match with David on Easter Monday morning with plenty of long rallies." -- Tom
Player Comments:
- "This is my first time playing Seungwon, he has a good first serve and decent groundstrokes. He usually plays on the astro at Kenilworth tennis club which has a low bounce but struggles a bit with the higher bounce of the VP courts, nevertheless, there were some long duces and tight games. If we played at Kenilworth the score might be differnet. " -- Harpal
Player Comments:
- "Brilliant day to play tennis, weather couldn’t be better. I defined enjoyed playing against Martin and am looking forward to play again soon." -- Enrique
Player Comments:
- "Tough match in tough windy conditions. The first set was settle until the very last point. During the second set I improved my serve which worked in my favour after braking Tom at 3-2." -- Enrique

- "Great to play Chris after first meeting him in a lesson. Had to replay a point due to low flying birds, then the sky bruised and we sought cover to avoid the rain. All very Hitchcock. Well played Chris some exciting net play points, and several deuce games." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "Enjoyable early morning match - closer than the score suggests (albeit the number of unforced errors was probably a bigger factor than stunning winners…..). Good luck Neil - see you in the next round (fingers crossed we avoid the dreaded promotion….!😉)" -- Andy
Player Comments:
- "Really enjoyable match against Andy, in perfect conditions at Victoria park. Our second league match as we’d met a couple of rounds ago, with I think the same result. Andy makes great use of pinpoint accurate lobs, and I had to construct points from ground strokes to approach to volleys to get the ball past him. Well played Andy, a real pleasure." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "Another lovely still evening’s weather for tennis. Great to play against Tom. Lots of exciting points came from approaching the net, as it happened my volleys just edged out tom’s lobs today. An exciting game at the end of the set where Tom held on to win a good handful of set points. Thanks Tom best of luck." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "Perfect conditions this early evening, and a fun match to play. Corinne did a great job on serve consistency, only double faulting once in the match. The games she won were on serve, and of the breaks the majority of those went to deuce. Great to play against such a consistent shotmaker, and some entertaining long rallies. Well played Corinne and best of luck in your remaining matches." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "Really fun match played in sunny conditions, although the wind definitely affected both of our shots on occasions. Hopefully we’ll play again in another league, although I’m sure both of us would like a quicker game next time rather than over 2 hours!" -- Neil
Player Comments:
- "Very close match with constant threat from Alistair’s serve and forehand. First set was pretty even, with a long game at 4-3 being the turning point that I eventually won and held the next for first set. Alistair got off to a fast start to go 3-0 up in the second set, before I pulled it back and eventually hung on to take the set 6-4. Good luck Alistair." -- Andy
Player Comments:
- "Beautifully sunny day hampered by some quite gusty wind which prevented either of us from playing the shots we’d like. Had to work to keep the ball from Neil’s approaching forehand. Well played Neil." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "Close match in the sunshine" -- Corinne
Player Comments:
- "A great morning's tennis in the warmth of the Easter sun. A closer match than the score suggests with some really good rallies and some closely fought games. " -- Tom
Player Comments:
- "Great match on a sunny Sunday. I got off to a fast start taking a 4-0 lead, then Tom pulled it back to 4-4 before I won the next 2 games. Second set was close all through, with some long rallies, plenty of deuces and good variety of shots. Tom saved 3 or 4 match points at 5-3, but then I snatched the next game to take the match - really enjoyable and close match!" -- Andy
