Player Comments:

  • "Hard fought match with Anthony on a lovely evening for tennis in Leamington. I managed to edge a tight 1st set and take momentum into the 2nd. Anthony is very agile around the court and ran down most of my best shots and hit some cracking forehands and drop shots. 1-1 in the series now and I look forward to our next match."  -- Tom
Reveal CommentEnrique Suarez bt Anthony Bonnardel (Jul 25) 6-3, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Always a thought opponent Anthony he got used to the courts surface quite quickly and managed to brake my serve a few times. Although the weather wasn’t great, I did enjoy the match very much, looking forward to our next encounter Anthony! "  -- Enrique
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Tom Courtenay-Evans (Jul 21) 6-4, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Fourth time playing Tom and I knew what I was up against from the start. He serves well, slices the ball superbly and has always had too much for me in the past. This evening was another very close match with few breaks of serve but I was able to win it. Great to have a couple of pints afterwards too. I look forward to our next match."  -- Richard

Player Comments:

  • "First time playing against Ali and it was a great game on perfect day to play tennis. The score doesn't reflect the game, plenty of nice points and some nice rally. Well played Ali! "  -- Anthony
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Nav Aulkh (Jul 11) 6-2, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Having played Nav several times in the past, I know how good he is. He had an injured finger today, which made the match less competitive than usual. Despite that, Nav nearly took the second set and a third would've been difficult in the heat. Looking forward to a re-match soon in the Solihull League."  -- Richard
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Andy Silver (Jul 10) 6-0, 6-1

Reveal CommentTom Courtenay-Evans bt Alastair Wood (Jul 3) 6-0, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Good match with Ali who has improved a lot since we last played a couple of rounds ago, although the score line doesn't really reflect that. Lots of close games and Ali got his big first serve working much better in the 2nd set. "  -- Tom
Reveal CommentAlastair Wood bt Andy Silver (Jul 3) 6-2, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "A pleasure once again playing against Andy, and being introduced to the courts at Barford. Lots of entertaining points today which came down to whoever made the passing shot or final volley. There were many deuce games, particularly on my serve. Well played Andy, and best of luck with your remaining matches."  -- Alastair
Reveal CommentRichard Randle bt Anthony Bonnardel (Jul 1) 7-5, 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Simply put, a great match. It's rare for a two set tennis game to last nearly two hours but this did. Anthony chases every ball and will punish any poor shots. We're both back court players so it made for an interesting game. I scraped the win today but it could easily be very different next time. Thanks for the game!"  -- Richard
Reveal CommentTom Courtenay-Evans bt Nav Aulkh (Jun 30) 6-1, 7-6 (7-2)

Player Comments:

  • "I know I have to play my best tennis to be competitive against Nav and I managed that today. My serve was particularly consistent for once. Nav showed all his fighting spirit and resilience in the 2nd set coming back from 5-3 down despite being hampered by a back strain to force a tie-break. "  -- Tom
Reveal CommentNav Aulkh bt Andy Silver (Jun 25) 6-0, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "First time playing Andy on a sunny but windy day. Lots of good rallies and good chat. If Andy can add more depth to his 2nd serve it would have been a closer match. Well played Andy, look forward to hitting with you again."  -- Nav
Reveal CommentNav Aulkh bt Anthony Bonnardel (Jun 21) 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "First time playing Anthony and we couldn't have picked a better evening. Really Hot and no wind. I won the first set 6-3 but many of Anthony's service games went to dunce so the set could have easily gone to a tie-break. Second set Anthony came out more agressive and was hitting the lines and was quickly up 4-1. I managed to pull it back by staying in the rallies and take my opportunity to come to the net from his backhand. Really well played Anthony and looking forward to more 12 shot rallying "  -- Nav
