Player Comments:

  • "First time we played each other, nice game. Adam back from injury andMathew back playing after 14 years out. So curate's egg of a match! "  -- Adam
Reveal CommentMatthew Rosier bt Brian Taylor (May 31) 6-2, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Some consistent first serving from Brian who also played some good spin shots. Luckily my first serve came in during the second set and i was able to take advantage of the 42 year age gap!!!!! Some good analyses of Man Utd past, present and future during the breaks!"  -- Matthew

Match of the Group:

Reveal CommentJonathan Dearth bt Dylan Strain (May 24) 6-4, 7-6 (7-2)

Player Comments:

  • "A game a 4 parts Dylan rushed to a 3-0 playing strong tennis. I was thinking get a game just to save embarrassment. I won the next 4 as Dylan's game fell apart and errors came in. I went on to take the first set. In the second, Dylan's game, sadly, was not working still and I got to 5-1. Then Dylan found his form again. 5-2 . In the next 2 games I had about 5 match points but failed to convert them. It went to 6-5 to Dylan and it felt like he was going to take the set. I managed to win a game and get it to a tie-break. And went on to win 7-2. I was glad it was over. "  -- Jonathan
Dylan Strain bt Brian Taylor (May 22) 6-0, 6-1
Reveal CommentJonathan Dearth bt Brian Taylor (May 20) 6-2, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Good to play Brian again. "  -- Jonathan
Reveal CommentJonathan Dearth bt Matthew Rosier (May 19) 6-1, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Very pleasing in. Matthew is naturally athletic rather than a regular tennis player and got better throughout the match. His serve was very strong but inconsistent. His shots were full of back spin and was a real challenge. He took a 4-3 lead in the second set as the light faded. So I was delighted to come through in the end to win. Very enjoyable."  -- Jonathan
