Player Comments:
- "Really enjoyable game with Adam this evening. Looking forward to a rematch." -- Tom
Player Comments:
- "High quality dogfight the first two sets, each of us losing a crucial game and hence the set. Adam slowed down in the decider, being less aggressive and playing shorter, and I played very well on my side. Overall a very enjoyable match for me in this cold, sunny Sunday." -- Guillaume
Player Comments:
- "A very crisp morning with a bit of frost at the start which quickly disappeared with the warm sun. I played a strong first set, however I struggled to find a rythmn on my serve and Doug came back fighting on the second. Fortunately his first serve percentage was also fairly low so I managed to come through in straight sets. Good match Doug!" -- Aaron
Player Comments:
- "Excellent match. Hard fought rallies. Lots of fun!" -- Adam
Player Comments:
- "Doug was playing well at the beginning and it was tight until 3/3 in the first. But a few unforced errors he did gave me the first set. He did not play the same standard in the second, and I had more time to build momentum and win in this first winter day. 4 degrees, sunny, dry and no wind." -- Guillaume
Player Comments:
- "A close and enjoyable match that had a long 3rd set on a crisp sunny morning. Neither player could take a commanding lead. Thankfully I managed to break again at the end of the third to take win!" -- Aaron
Player Comments:
- "Great match. Long rallies. Some very long games. Tough opponent!" -- Adam
Player Comments:
- "Ricardo's strings snapped. Shame - it was such as nice day!" -- Niklas

- "Great game with Ricardo to start the round. Blinding sunshine but close games and a fierce comeback at the end - just managed to hold Ricardo off for the win." -- Tom
Group Summary:
Congratulations to Pierre for winning the group on his league debut, and doing so in fine style by winning 5 matches to finish 8 points clear of runner up Andrea. Pierre also mastered the art of scheduling and was the only player to earn the valuable midway bonus points. Andrea played well to record 2 wins, including a close 2 set match against Milan. It would be great to see a few more matches played next time though!

Group Summary:
It was tight at the top of Group 3 with Owen and Matthew tied on 8 points and 3 wins apiece, and unfortunately there was no head to head between the pair to decide top spot... so instead it was Owen's fewer games conceded that edged him ahead. The elements did their best to challenge our players this round, with Colin and Sivaraj having to contend with a low morning sun while Matthew and Chris did well to overcome very windy and slippy conditions... so here's hoping for fairer weather in the next round!

- "The low morning sun made it very difficult for both of us but still managed an enjoyable match. " -- Colin
Player Comments:
- "A close, defensive match in very windy and slippy conditions. I threw away two set points in the first set, but then saved a match point at 2-5 down in the second. Matt kept his nerve and closed out an extremely enjoyable match. " -- Chris
Player Comments:
- "Great morning for tennis. Some great rallies and the second set was a true reflection of how close the match was. " -- Colin
Player Comments:
- "A close match when the serves were actually going in: a brand new racket and little experience of serving consistently on my part meant double faults were plenty. From 3 match points down I managed to save 4 and force the tiebreak but David came through to win that to 3. " -- Chris
Player Comments:
- "Beware of the early morning dew!" -- David
Group Summary:
Scott and Callum had successful returns to the league in finishing tied on 4 points and 2 wins at the top of Group 4, but sadly they didn't play a head to head to decide top spot... so instead it came down to games conceded and Scott was the narrow winner! This was a quiet group with just 4 matches played, and conditions weren't easy for those who did play, so let's hope for more tennis in the next round!
