Collapse AllMeadows, Edinburgh Singles - Round 54 | Thursday 2 July 2020 to Wednesday 26 August 2020 (Midpoint: Wednesday 29 July 2020)

It was great to see friendly, competitive tennis return to the courts of Edinburgh and to be up to 7 groups this round, helped by welcoming 8 new players to the league alongside many returners and regulars! For many of you this was your first competitive tennis post-lockdown so well done for dusting off your rackets and getting back on court... and collectively nearly two thirds of all possible matches were played. We're glad you all enjoyed resuming your tennis and hope to see you back in the next round!

Group Summary:

It was a successful return to League action for Ben who topped the group with 6 wins to finish 2 points clear of runner up Adam. Ben didn't drop a set either along the way while there were 3 set wins for Colin and Martyn and a close 2 setter for Neil against Callum. Martyn's 3 setter against Callum was a "bit of a ding dong match with a lot of unforced errors" and Martyn also held on to win a "topsy turvy" third set against Neil to round off a "great match and happy to be back in the league".
