  • "Good game as expected between old rivals. In the first set my unforced errors was a lot and the early advantage, which Arnoldas took was enough to cruise throughout. I've managed to find my serve in the second set and didn't gave to many opportunities. In the decider my service games wasn't tread anymore after I lost the first serve again and Arnoldas was consistent in any shot, which was crucial for the final score. Congrats for the win and good luck with the rest "  -- Kolio

  • "Another thriller match between two good friends. There was a lot of ups and downs in both sides of the court, so you never know who's going to take the set or the final point. In the second set Stanislav managed to get ahead with the score with 4-1 and then 5-2, but somehow I reduced the unforced errors and started to be more consistent and this pays off. In the decider I've kept the level and tried to stay focus, but doesn't matter the score the match against Stan is always a pleasure. Good luck with the rest Stan. "  -- Kolio

Player Comments:

  • "Another great tennis match between me & Erlens. Following the yesterday final in Paris between Dimitrov & Djokovic today we both performed well on the court. Erlens took the first set as I gave too much unforced errors and chances, but that suddenly change in the beginning of the second. This time I've took an early lead and kept the advantage up until the end of the second set. In the decider despite I have couple of breakpoints we both played well until 4 each. Serving at 4/4 this time I've managed to brake Erlens game and finish the third set without going into a tiebreak. In conclusion we both played really well with drop shots, net points, winners from backhand and forehand. Good luck with the rest Erlens"  -- Kolio

  • "First game in this round at Rushmere ground against Lee. It's always been apleasure playing against you and today afternoon wasn't any different. In the first set I've managed to brake in the first service game and that was enough to get through easy with 6/3. In the second the early lead was the key point to seal the deal in straight sets, but we had some crazy rallies. Good luck with the rest games Lee. "  -- Kolio

Player Comments:

  • "Not the greatest conditions for this match and we chose astro turf courts which were incredibly fast paced due to the wet. Though I got broken in my opening service game it’s probably fair to say that I adapted better to the quicker conditions than Alexander did. I managed to break straight back and took a 4-1 lead. The next 2 games went on serve and I then broke again to take the first set. 2nd set was much closer as both adapted better to the conditions. Having been 3-1 down I managed to turn things around and get to a 5-4 lead and had two match points which Alexander saved! I held serve before having another match point at 6-5, 30-40. A double fault from Alexander then followed which handed me the match. Thanks for the game Alexander! "  -- Matthew

Player Comments:

  • "The score does not shows the whole story. Anton had some breakpoints. He played some aces. Thanks for a good game."  -- Alexander
Reveal CommentMatthew Davis bt Anton Krastev (Nov 12) 6-0, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Not the greatest conditions for our game but neither the less we gave it a go and had some good rallies throughout the match. I played well in the opening set and managed to hit a number of winners including a backhand down the line, some drop shots and a couple of aces too! 2nd set was much more competitive and after missing a couple of break points in Antons opening game he managed to register his first game of the match. Next game I had a game point but I was broken. I managed to break straight back and the set went on serve until 4-3 in my favour. At this point the rain was lashing down and conditions were poor. I managed to get the break to lead 5-3 and then served the match out. Really fun game considering the conditions! "  -- Matthew
Reveal CommentMatthew Davis bt George Marvell (Nov 5) 6-0, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Nice to meet George and just as nice to play indoors on what was a quick surface. It was fair to say this suited my game quite well and rallies were limited as I was able to use the court speed to keep the rallies short and I hit a fair number of winners too (including a backhand cross court winner lol)! George is relatively new to the game and showed some nice touches at times and some of the games in the 2nd set went to deuce too. I managed to hit 6 aces which I think was a record for me. Overall good game played in a good atmosphere! Good luck with the rest of your games George! "  -- Matthew

Reveal CommentAlexander Savko bt John Tiernan (Nov 3) 3-6, 6-2, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "We know each other on a tennis court for a while. John is a decent player, what he proved today. He deployed his backhand, forehand slices developed while playing squash and did annoyed enough to win first set. I had to level up to gain second set. The third one, John was 2:4 ahead, before I won 4 games in a row. Not easy match. John improved a lot since last year. Good job."  -- Alexander

Reveal CommentJohn Tiernan bt Anton Krastev (Oct 29) 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4)

Player Comments:

  • "Long match to start a Sunday morning, Anton took the opening set 6-4 with some good winners down the line. I managed to claw it back in the second before the third set went all the way. Lots of breaks of serves throughout the final set as both of us tired, I managed to hold on in the tie-break to scrape a win. Great game, needed the sauna afterwards!"  -- John
Reveal CommentLiam Carroll bt John Tiernan (Oct 27) 6-4, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Very good match played with John, on a slightly slippery court. There was plenty of long rallies, a couple of aces (from John) and an all round decent level from both of us. Best of luck for the rest of the league John! "  -- Liam

Reveal CommentMatthew Davis bt John Tiernan (Oct 22) 7-5, 7-6 (8-6)

Player Comments:

  • "Nice to be back in the league again and good weather conditions too! I have only had a few friendlies in the past 3 months so still trying to shake off some rust and that was noticeable when John broke me early on in the set. John was by far the better player in the first set however when it came to serving it out John faltered and handed me a life line! I took advantage of that and the momentum then swung my way as I rattled off the final 5 games of the set to take it 7-5. Second set was a bit up and down and we ended up in a tie-break where I had a couple of set points at 6-4 which John saved. A missed drop shot by John led to a 3rd match point which I was glad to take as I didn’t fancy a third set! Happy my knee held up…..on to the next!"  -- Matthew
