  • "Fantastic match in difficult blustery conditions. Had to just hang in there in the first set with plenty of good rallies. Second set was very one sided with Waqas running away to with the set. The last set was such a real physical and mental battle with lots of deuces and long games and was so exhausted after such a long match. Really enjoyed the battle and look forwards to playing you again. Best of luck with the rest of your matches"  -- Vinoth
Reveal CommentIvan Fabijanic bt Vinoth Sivakumaran (Sep 19) 6-2, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "A very good and tough match, finished just in time before it became too dark to play. The writing was on the wall when the first 3 games all went to deuce (multiple ones) and then another 9-10 (out of the total of 18 game splayed) also being decided by the fine margines in multiple deuce points. Vinoth made me run a lot and kept returning balls that I already celebrated in my head as winners. Thanks for a great match ad best of luck for others! "  -- Ivan

Player Comments:

  • "Excellent game. It took time for me to get used to Marek’s style of play. We both were great and so many deuces. Thanks for the game."  -- Tushar
Reveal CommentEd Annan bt Marek Sadon (Sep 17) 6-1, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Ed won the toss and served to a hold. Marek, with his new, heavier racquet found it hard to get his timing, and soon found himself broken. Before long it was 5-o to Ed, but Marek was able to hold his serve for 5-1 before Ed served out the set. The 2nd set started promisingly for Marek, holding serve to take an early lead, but was soon pegged back by Ed's service hold. From there, Ed broke Marek and held his own to consolidate a 3-1 lead which was duly extended to 5-1 with another break. With Marek serving to stay in the set, he wasn't able to impose himself, and served a double fault to end the match symmetrically at 6-1, 6-1"  -- Ed
Reveal CommentEd Annan bt Nick Wilson (Sep 12) 6-3, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "In conditions which were a little damp, the match started with Ed serving the game out. Nick responded with a hold and this continued to 3-2 where Nick was finally broken. At 5-2, Nick managed to hold and stop a hattrick of winning games for Ed to take the set, but, by this time, Ed's service was getting into gear, and he took the set 6-3. In the 2nd set, Ed raced into a 3 love lead before Nick clawed a game back, but it was soon 4-1 as the light faded. Serving to stay in the match at 5-1, Nick was able to hold with some fine backhand play keeping him in control of the increasingly tense rallies, but Ed was able to see it out, serving some aces, including on match point as the rain came pouring down."  -- Ed
Reveal CommentEd Annan bt Tushar Patel (Sep 10) 6-2, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "Ed opened the match, and was broken to deuce. However, Ed won the next two games before Tushar pulled it back to 3-2. Ed took control of the set from then on , and closed the set out to 6-2. In the 2nd set, Ed raced to a 3-0 lead before Tushar registered his first game. Ed continued to rack up the games and found himself serving for the match. It was then that Tushar found his best game, and was able to break back to suggest a fightback, but it was Ed who prevailed, pressuring the Tushar serve to see the match out, again, 6-2"  -- Ed
