Player Comments:
- "After making a start at Waterloo Park the rain eventually brought an early stoppage in the first set as the mixture of the moss and standing water made the court very slippery. With a hint of Blue sky on the horizon we decided to move to Eaton Park where it was hoped the newer courts would handle the rain a little better which proved to be the case. The rain persisted for all of the 1st set but eventually stopped and by the end of the match the sun even decided to make an appearance. As always with Tomi there were some very long rallies and great points but it’s always a thoroughly enjoyable game." -- Lloyd

- "Monsoon conditions didn't stop this thrilling three set match. First set was very close and could've gone either way. We both had to battle the wind and rain which almost put a stop to our game but we persevered and the weather eventually cleared up....a bit. Alfie dominated the second set with rallies getting longer and longer. Third set was another close one, I think I had a few set points at 5-3 up but Alfie made a great comeback to make it 5-5 putting the pressure on. I just managed to hold for the last two games. Cheers for the game Alfie. " -- Richard

Player Comments:
- "Lovely Autumn morning for a game of tennis, apart from the noisy council park team who decided to trim the hedge right next to our court throughout the first set. It didn't effect the tennis though as Dave managed a comeback from 5-2 down to a nail-biting tie-break which Richard just edged it 8-6. Most games went the distance resulting in a good game of tennis. Second set had a few rallies but not as tense as the first. Cheers for the game Dave. " -- Richard

There were fireworks off court and on, what with what Karl called Thomas's "gun shot strong first serve," in a competitive but friendly group full of great commentaries. Albie was the winner by a wide margin and can look forward to some much tougher matches next time but well done to Jac who came within a whisker of winning a set from him. James played a good round and comes second, having tied on points with Andrew but winning the head to head. Well done all and especially Albie.

Successful top spin and 'ungettable' lightning shots played by Victoria were met by steady baseline returns by Tessa, which eventually saw her win the match, the second and final set echoing the game pattern of the former.
