- "What a match !!!! We both battled it out, with so many long rallies and deuces. One game must have been at least 12 deuces. A fully enjoyable and momentous match ! " -- Sandra

Player Comments:
- "Very mild, but windy day which made the rallies rather unpredictable. Several deuce games, despite the end result - good luck with your remaining matches Helen" -- Julie
Player Comments:
- "We had a really tight, competitive match where almost all the games went to deuce. I had more than my fair share of luck with the net cord and both of us had to put up with a gusting wind carrying our balls out of court . It was a very enjoyable afternoon with some challenging rallies. Thanks Angie." -- Maggie

Player Comments:
- "The match was delayed due to rain then we had to stop after 5 mins of warming up. I was all for going home but Julie was confident it was a brief shower. Good job as I beat Julie for the first time in about 3 years! Great match, horrible weather." -- Liz

Reveal CommentAngie Rusbridge bt Victoria Chubb (Oct 2) 6-2, 6-7 (6-8), 6-1Player Comments:
- "Really enjoyed meeting Victoria and we played a long and pretty even match with lots of deuces. Victoria made a huge comeback from 4-1 down in the 2nd set to take go on and win it in the tiebreak. Looking forward to many more games together. Weather was terrible hence playing indoors." -- Angie
Player Comments:
- "I hadn't met Helen before so it was lovely to play someone new. As we started, it looked as though the wind was going to have a strong influence on the game but thankfully it died down to be replaced by a light drizzle, then the sun broke through again and we were treated to a beautiful rainbow. It's always a pleasure to play tennis outside and enjoy a run around, we had some close games with deuces played, thanks I hope we play again Helen." -- Maggie
Player Comments:
- "Wendy and I always have a close match and the first set was typical as we were level for most of the way, then in the second set I don't know what happened, it seemed I couldn't do anything right and Wendy was playing very well. We decided we just had time to fit in a tie break and I managed to perk myself up enough to get back on form, so it was another close one which could absolutely have gone either way." -- Maggie
Player Comments:
- "A really good game with long rallies - the scores do not justify the quality of tennis played." -- Sandra
Player Comments:
- "Lovely to see Helen back in the league after so many years away. Perfect weather for tennis! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoabl6e afternoon! " -- Victoria
Player Comments:
- "Heroic of Angie and I to play right after our coaching session with Richard, but it had seemed a good idea at the time we booked. Despite the marathon play it was a great game with lots of rallies and many deuces. Excellent to have Angie in our women’s league. Welcome ! Wendy" -- Wendy
Player Comments:
- "Great game, lovely tennis played by both myself and Wendy. And lots of long rallies. Always a great game of tennis with Wendy." -- Sandra
Player Comments:
- "Angie is a fabulous player and we both thoroughly enjoyed this match. To be honest, I only won the first set as she was doing a few double faults but from then on it was very even. Looking forward to playing her in the doubles!" -- Liz
Player Comments:
- "Maggie and I are pretty evenly matched but today I was inspired by Emma Raducanu and edged ahead to win both sets!" -- Liz
Player Comments:
- "As always, a lovely game with Liz. I had some 'lucky' points, and Liz had some 'unlucky' points ; hence the score. Looking forward to playing Liz again (in Ladies Doubles) , in a couple of weeks time." -- Sandra
