"V. Good feedback. Much appreciated. I will be registering in the next league,"

Steve Britton
"Just wanted to say a big thank you for organising the league and encouraging folk to play. I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience and met some new people to play social tennis with,"
Jane Peacock

"I've absolutely enjoyed every minute of my tennis.'s been great fun. I've learnt so much from each player and has taken away some of my fears of playing singles. Although I didn't win any of my games I had a lot of matches to deuce which shows me how much I've improved. Thank you very much for all your hard work and look forward to next round. ..", Maureen Hutchby

Maureen Hutchby
"Absolutely loved my last round, fantastic format and met some really marvellous people. All matches had positive comments from our group and we played on some terrific courts here in Nottingham. Only problem for me, is that I feel I'm more suited to playing doubles. Full credit to your time and effort in making this work and I'm absolutely sure it will get stronger and bigger. I wish you every success for the future."
Phaldie Fredericks

Reveal CommentDavide Ceresara bt James Bond (Apr 12) 7-5, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Great first set, very close with lots of long rallies. A draw would have been fair but it's tennis. Second set was different, some lucky shots and I manage to keep the advantage. Very well played from James, he got to every ball, I could never celebrate shots early! "  -- Davide
Reveal CommentAaron Bowes bt Philip Birch (Apr 11) 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "A great match despite flashes of wintery hail and showers, though the court remained safe enough to play on. It is always very tough when playing Philip as he never gives up and ensures I work very hard to win every game. We both had to do lots of running and moved each other around the court effectively. Very close match and I felt that both sets could have gone either way."  -- Aaron
Gilbert Alla-Mensah bt Philip Birch (Apr 10) 5-7, 7-5, 6-3
Reveal CommentAaron Bowes bt Vikas Yadav (Apr 9) 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4)

Player Comments:

  • "Great match played in pleasant conditions. First 2 sets were a battle of contrasting styles and tactics. In the final set Vikas did incredibly well to come back from 5-1 down to lead 6-5 defending multiple match points on the way. With the deciding set going to tie break I just managed to get over the line. Very challenging match and thank you Vikas for an unforgettable match! All the best"  -- Aaron
  • "Another tough game for me but no regrets as I was able to hit lot of winners. In the end I misjudged few lobs and it did cost me the game. I was quite satisfied to come back from 1-5 in 3rd set and took it to 6-5. I enjoyed this game thoroughly." -- Vikas
Reveal CommentJames Bond bt Vikas Yadav (Apr 8) 7-6 (8-6), 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Think I always state the game was tense but this went to the wire with a tie break 8-6 where Vikas was 3-6 up. He deserved the set. 2nd set I went 3-0 up again and he again brought it back to 3-4. Wind was rubbish but made for some interesting banana shots. Great game and Vikas didn't deserve to lose 2-0."  -- James
  • "Congrats to James for holding nerves at right moment and winning both the sets from behind." -- Vikas
Reveal CommentJames Bond bt Philip Birch (Apr 7) 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Great game today with some decent shots but made hard by strong cross wind. Don't bother with your faster serves as Philip just smacks them back at your feet. "  -- James
Philip Birch bt Adam Broniewski (Apr 5) 7-5, 6-3
Reveal CommentJames Bond bt Aaron Bowes (Apr 5) 6-2, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Windy and cagey with a tight second set complimented by Aaron's running jumping for hand smash volley straight down the line. Glad to be back. "  -- James
Gilbert Alla-Mensah bt Aaron Bowes (Apr 4) 2-6, 6-4, 6-4
Reveal CommentDavide Ceresara bt Vikas Yadav (Apr 4) 6-4, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Enjoyable two-faced match. A very long and close first set, completed in over an hour with loads of deuces, that none deserved to lose. The second set was the opposite, maybe due to the lots of effort put in the first set that left little energy for the second."  -- Davide
  • "Strange game for me. First set we had close to 30 deuces, It lasted about 1 hr 5 mins. I was hoping second set I can start more aggressive and suddenly I realise I have lost it 6-0. Great game by Davide." -- Vikas
Reveal CommentDavide Ceresara bt Philip Birch (Apr 3) 6-2, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "A few winners and many unforced errors for me, as expected after a long forced break. Enjoyable game, Philip never gave up and played well. The match was tough, and victory could have gone either way but I somehow managed to keep the lead. Good luck with the rest of the league Philip!"  -- Davide
