Another bumper round in Parliament Hill with 17 new players and 9 groups in total! Collectively just over half of all possible matches were played which is still a lot of tennis, and we were so lucky to finish the round before the second lockdown. Very odd times but we're looking forward to getting going again soon!

  • "A topsy-turvy match that was actually started on 3 October. At one set all and 3-nil to Chris, Jon's game was falling apart and it looked like Chris was cruising to victory. Time ran out, however, and on the resumption four days later Jon managed to turn it around and force a tie-break that went his way. Luck, and mindset, played a big part in this game..."  -- Jon
Reveal CommentJon Satow bt Federico Forti (Oct 1) 6-4, 4-6, [10-6]

Player Comments:

  • "A closely-fought and very even match: Federico's drop-shots were more effective than Jon's, and his superior fitness probably would have edged it in the third, but unfortunately there was no time for a full decider, and Jon got lucky with a run of points in the match tie-break.
