Collapse AllPavilion Doubles - Round 21 | Thursday 19 April 2018 to Wednesday 4 July 2018 (Midpoint: Sunday 27 May 2018)

Despite some incredibly hot conditions it was great to see so many players persevering and making the effort to play their matches; Alan & Nigel for example endured an 'exceptionally hot bank holiday evening' in their match against Jim & Maria! It's lovely to see such kind match comments left for each other throughout the round - keep up the strong sportsmanship and let's see what the next round has in store.

Group Summary:

There was no doubt in Dominic & Anthony's pairing in this group as they managed a very impressive 7 wins from 7 matches including earning their bonus points which can always be a bit trickier in these doubles leagues. Many congratulations to both on such a strong comeback round. Second place was a much closer contest as only a couple of points separated three teams. In the end it was David & Tony that finished as the eventual runners up. There were some really friendly match comments too which are always lovely to see!

Player Comments:

  • "Louise & Samantha joined our game hot from a session with their league team - as it happened this may have been tp our advantage as they may have lacked a little steam at the business end of the two sets. But it was a lovely early afternoon played in great weather and set me up for some wonderful samosas from the chef at the Pavilion - soooo delicious. We had some great rally's but and David and I embarrassed ourselves as we forgot the scores on a number of occasions - luckily the ladies were in control and kept us on the straight and narrow."  -- Tony
