Collapse AllPortsmouth Doubles - Round 2 | Thursday 27 September 2018 to Wednesday 5 December 2018 (Midpoint: Wednesday 31 October 2018)

This was just the second round for the Portsmouth doubles league, and it was great to see a terrific turnout on court and a "very friendly atmosphere" on show too. Thanks to you all for getting involved and we hope you enjoyed it. Please continue to spread the word if you can, it would be great to see this young league grow in 2019!

Group Summary:

It was close run thing for the gold, with only one point separating the top three. Chris & Matthew notched up wins in all four of their matches to retain their group crown, though it was far from an easy ride. Fellow title challengers Martin & Tim pushed the new champs all the way in a "thoroughly enjoyable" three setter encounter that "could have gone either way". Alice & Henrietta joined Martin & Tim on seven points, thanks in part to their excellent scheduling skills, so it all comes down their head to head to determine who takes the silver. Martin & Tim stepped it up a gear in this match to take a convincing victory and become the runner ups.
