Reveal CommentGuy Forrest-Hay bt AbdulAzeez Badmus (Sep 29) 7-6 (7-4), 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Thuddingly good first set twisting this way and that. Pretty sure the second set went as it did as AbdulAzeez had more than have an eye on the London Marathon he was undertaking in a few days time!! And rightly so. Another punishing set was not in extensive training programme (ahem). Hope you did will Sir!!"  -- Guy
Daniel Kelter bt Zach Shaikh (Sep 26) 6-3, 7-5
Reveal CommentGuy Forrest-Hay bt Okechukwu Ahia (Sep 25) 6-1, 6-0

Player Comments:

  • "Pleasure to meet Okechukwu - some stunning shots on the run ands unreturnable serves with that spin. Really enjoyable way to spend a late Sunday afternoon and certainly look forward to locking horns again."  -- Guy

Player Comments:

  • "friendly guy couldn’t get the ball past him very long rallies !"  -- Luke
Reveal CommentGuy Forrest-Hay bt Zach Shaikh (Sep 19) 6-3, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Thoroughly enjoyable knock - both trying to find our games - sometimes achieving and sometimes not!! Both trying to win (as opposed to not loose) and having some fine rallies. For me, exactly what the league is all about: Meeting new great people, pitching yourselves against them and finding someone you can pick the phone up to and arrange a knock anytime etc. Nice one Zach, look forward to the next one!!"  -- Guy

Player Comments:

  • "Lovely wet conditions, but didn’t stop the quality, with some smashing forehands from both players. Enjoyable game. "  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentRob McNinch bt Daniel Sayers (Sep 11) 6-7 (7-9), 7-5, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "Epic battle. Everything I threw at Daniel just seemed to always come back. At 1 set down and 4-2 down in the second set, something had to change so I stopped trying to win points and instead focused on keeping the ball in play. This seemed to have an effect and a game that looked like only going one way slowly turned around. Great effort from Daniel, I think we were both ready to collapse at the end. "  -- Rob

Player Comments:

  • "Really good game with long rally’s . Really enjoyed the game which could of gone either way. "  -- Daniel
Reveal CommentGuy Forrest-Hay bt James Charles (Sep 10) 6-1, 6-4

Player Comments:

  • "Really enjoyable encounter with some punishing rallies (suffering now thanks James!). Both played well in parts, with some good winning shots on both sides. Discovered we are practically neighbours and exploring further areas we can eek out some 'racket based' entertainment, and certainly look forward to that!"  -- Guy
Clemence Pisira bt Zach Shaikh (Sep 5) 5-7, 6-1, 6-1

Reveal CommentDaniel Sayers bt Bill Buckley (Sep 1) 6-2, 7-6 (7-4)

Player Comments:

  • "Good to see Bill back in the league and he certainly had me running side to side like a madman. A fun match with lots of deuces to start off the round. First set, I took it 6-2 from 2-2. Second set, I went 0-2 down, pulled it back to 5-2, was pulled back to 5-5 and then took it 7-6(4) in the tiebreak on my seventh match point! Good luck in the rest, Bill."  -- Daniel
