The players in Redbridge put in a fantastic effort to play their matches in this round, managing to complete three quarters of all of those available - well done! There was lots of enjoyable tennis described in the commentaries, with Group 1's Stuart and Liz playing their match "in a friendly spirit" and Group 2's Rod and Chloe contesting a "close competitive match.. with a few jokes thrown in". Keep it up everyone!
Group Summary:
Sujeet had an excellent comeback round winning all four of the matches he played and navigating his way to the top of the table - congratulations! Stuart matched Sujeet's wins tally but unfortunately was unable to earn his bonus points so has to settle for silver this time. It would have been great to see these two titans battle it out on court, maybe next time A special mention to everyone else in the group for earning your bonus points and proving your superb scheduling skills (and love of free tennis balls!). Well done all on such a great round.

Group Summary:
Abdul spent lots of time on court in this round with half of his matches going the distance, and he showed excellent fighting qualities to come back from a set down in all of these to set himself on his way to six superb wins and a place on the top of the podium. The runner up spot went to Rajeshri, who also showed fine form to pick up a couple of wins and a point in a marathon defeat to the champ to claim the silver just ahead of Raj and Rod.

Raj had some great shots that included ones at impossible angles to return, drop shots and quite a few that fell dead on the line on the edge of the other side of the court. There were also a few good rallies within this match and I had to try and get Raj running around the court. As you can tell by the result he can also move well.
