- "Last meeting, last game, last beating! Good luck with your tennis in Poland." -- Krzysztof
Player Comments:
- "We just managed to squize our match between bad storm and heavy rain, having 2hrs window of dry weather. Another great battle with long exchanges and corner to corner stretching shots. As usually, Mihai's forehand was functioning well and he was trying to dictate most of the points with it but my topspine was taking him by surprise at times giving me slight edge. Great to get together and have another good match Mihai. All the best for the rest of the league buddy. Lets play a bit more often if you can find some spare time." -- Krzysztof
Player Comments:
- "An epic battle with Pawel with great long well fought points. After a good start 2-0, Pawel came back and we went head to head until I had set point at 5-4. He not only saved the point but broke back and went up 6-5 in style. The tiebreak was very tight and a very near long ball concluded the first set after 90 minutes. Second set was very balanced until at 2-1 managed to break Pawel who looked a bit tired to come back from a seat and a break down. Really enjoyed it, Pawel improved a lot his service game and net approach. Good luck with the next ones!!" -- Mihai
Player Comments:
- "Another fun and competitive match with Mihai. Could have gone either way, but unfortunately unforced errors at keys points made the difference. In true Houdini style I just snatched it. Play again soon Mihai. " -- Nuno
Player Comments:
- "Full range of game Aces, winners returns, net play volleys Drop shots and strong long forehands and backhands rally on both sides You was very close to win both sets Also some wind Thank you for that Bas " -- Pawel
Player Comments:
- "It was nice to meet you Bas. It's a shame about your injury which didn't help your serve and the windy conditions didn't help us on the court. We had too adapt our game depending on which side of the court we were. I hope to see you again for a replay. Thanks for the game." -- Jean-Michel
Player Comments:
- "Thanks Mihai for the game. I had a good start in the first set and the second one was tough. Hope we'll play again in the next round." -- Jean-Michel
Player Comments:
- "Another windswept match for Kris and I. As last time the wind was the 3rd player and wreaked havoc with our games. We somehow got through it without loosing our minds and I just inched it today. Well played Kris and let’s play again soon. " -- Nuno

- "Baz couldn’t serve due to his arm so we both did under arm serves! Took a while to get used but become a mix of fun and frustration all wrapped in one. Well played Baz and all the best in your next matches. " -- Nuno
Player Comments:
- "Great match JM . The amount of unforced errors dished out today must have broken all records. I’m sure we’ll both ease into it after such a long time away from the court. Best of luck for the next matches. " -- Nuno
Player Comments:
- "Took a while to get going and by the time I woke up, Pawel was crushing me! Great playing you Pawel and keep those rallies going. Great player. Best of luck for your next matches. " -- Nuno
Player Comments:
- "Great to meet and play with Jean-Michel again. That was tricky encounter as both of us played slightly under par. First set was very close and it was anyone's game right to the very end. I was lucky at the end to brake J M and hold my serve. Second set started in similar fashion with both of us holding opening games but then I managed to get ahead only to lose my concentration and the game when serving for the match. Luckily for me J M also lost his concentration in the next game so I was able to break back and rap up the match. Hope to play you again soon JM as you are a great player. Good Luck with your other matches!" -- Krzysztof
Player Comments:
- "The score doesn't reflect the intensity and level of the match. Bas is an excellent player with clearly visible experience and knowledge of the game. He is great on both wings and excellent at the net. We had a few very close and long games but unfortunately his lack of ability to serve properly let Bad down as I took advantage of it. If only Bas wasn't still recovering from his shoulder injury and he was able to serve properly the result would've been different as he is excellent off the ground. Even though Bas wasn't able to serve properly I still had to be very focus and play my best tennis to get through this match. Great weather, great player, great match! All the best for the rest of the league and speedy recovery Bas!" -- Krzysztof

Player Comments:
- "To the thwuck of leather on willow, James and Max dusted off cobwebs and rediscovered muscles not recently used. James took a strong 4-1 lead in the first set - experience triumphing over exuberance. Strong first serves and an early recognition of the bounty to be reaped targeting Max's backhand put James firmly ahead. A beleaguered fightback was on the cards, leading to a 5-4 stand-off. Deuces and set-points waxed and waned before James clinched the first set. Max opened the second set more confidently and the speed hastened - tired muscles and a growing thirst (for a pint) may have proved pivotal. Max mined success hitting down the line on his forehand but James' deep returns triumphed in the end. Splendid match." -- Max

- "The rain gods clearly made a deal with us... We'll keep the rain off - but in payment we'll take both of your serves. A woeful service day on both sides of the net, but a wonderful, exhausting, gruelling duel, fought in great humour. The kind of match where you're cheering the opponent on, hoping they do well. That said, I stopped cheering Florian on as he came back from a 2-5 deficit in the 3rd set to make it 5 all. The set was clearly rightfully mine and that just wasn't cricket. I certainly didn't cheer him on when he had match point in the tie-break, nor when he was returning my clear winners. In the end neither of us deserved to lose. A 3 hour extravaganza that I won't forget in a hurry. Well played Florian! " -- James
Player Comments:
- "It is always a pleasure to play with Ian. Lots of technical exchanges and great game strategies. The local tennis teacher who saw us play asked us to participate as assistants in her social tennis lessons on Wednesdays. What a compliment for our playing Ian." -- Gianfranco

Alex was really unlucky to break a string midway through the second set with games on serve but insisted on continuing so a great sport. Good luck for the rest of your matches, you made me work hard for this win Alex!" -- Darren
Player Comments:
- "It's always great to play the maestro. If you'd seen the first 2 or three games, you'd have changed the channel absolutely convinced of the result... But Gianfranco is such a clever player, disrupting your game - exposing your weaknesses and making you doubt your strengths. It's always a mind game! This time I managed to hold it together just enough to pull away at the end. Thanks for the great battle Gianfranco! " -- James

- "A good match in difficult, blustery conditions. Groundstrokes going long at one end could stop dead or fall short after each changeover. I certainly got lucky more often than Richard when it came to some of those unpredictable gusts." -- Ian
Player Comments:
- "Thanks to Cath for a great game under really difficult weather conditions." -- Jonathan
Player Comments:
- "After a deceptive first set, Kirsten relaxed and gave me a run for my money in the second set. We had lots of long enjoyable rallies which made us lose track of the score at times. I was very relieved she didn’t push me to a 3rd set. A very enjoyable match. " -- Sarah
Player Comments:
- "A good match played in warm sunshine. Definitely an off-day for Alison, I think, who was very apologetic about the mistakes but it was certainly a closer game than the scoreline suggests." -- Ian
Player Comments:
- "A really enjoyable game with some great rallies. Cath was making a come back in the 2nd set and I was relieved to break her serve to go 5-4 up, and managed to hold to take the 2nd set. Very enjoyable and a lovely sunny afternoon. " -- Sarah
Player Comments:
- "We started last Sat, played and a set & 4 games, with so many deuces that our 90 mins was up in no time. Agreed to pick up this morning - and again played another 90 mins of tightly-contested games. In the end, I took the last 4 games & the match simply because Richard was exhausted! A really great match that I barely deserved to win. Thanks to Richard for organising the courts and being such an enjoyable opponent." -- Jonathan
Player Comments:
- "A fabulous return to tennis following the lockdown break and a really enjoyable, close match. The score in the 2nd set much more reflective of how close this was. The luck was certainly with me which was probably the only difference between us." -- Ian
Player Comments:
- "This was a very close match and could have gone either way. We had some great rallies and I was relieved to take the first set! A very enjoyable afternoon. " -- Sarah
Player Comments:
- "An epic 2.5 hr session on a beautiful day. Was great fun and look forward to playing with you again Cath. I’ll bring some fruit?" -- Kirsten
