Under 2 months ago Novak Djokovic was about to go under the knife in a bid to fix his recurring elbow injury.

Fast forward to Monday and the former World Number 1 was back on court in a bid to win his sixth Indian Wells Masters title.

Whilst the result was never going to be the main aim for Novak this time around, his defeat to World Number 109, Taro Daniel did come as a bit of shock.

After battling well for 2 sets, it was clear that 2 and a half hours of tennis had taken its toll on the man who was surprised to be there himself, with set three comfortably dispatched by American born, Japanese international Daniel.

The result might not have gone Novak's way, but it did get us to thinking, tennis really does inspire some fantastic comebacks from injury!

The same can be said all over the country, with Local Leaguers playing matches to help bring them back to fitness. Our new Health & Fitness element to this blog will explore advice, tips and treatments for making sure you get to spend more time on court, living a healthy, active lifestyle.
