Player Comments:

  • "Was a total pleasure playing Richard today. The first set was tough, it could have gone either way. Richard came out of the gates on fire in the second set, blowing me away. I had to dig deep to respond in the third set. Great game. Look forward to playing Richard again soon. -Sanmi"  -- Oluwasanmi
Reveal CommentCol Macpherson bt Gordon Coyne (Sep 18) 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "We both really enjoyed this match. I had the edge in the first set and was able to come through it strongly but Gordon played some great defensive tennis. Gordon really fought back well in the second and there were lots of close games, until the last one when we both got really tight. Thanks for the game Gordon. "  -- Col
Reveal CommentCol Macpherson bt Oluwasanmi Akinmusire (Sep 16) 6-0, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "Great to meet Sanmi, we chatted loads throughout the match and after. I had a really good first set where it felt like just about everything I tried was working. I tightened up a bit second set, especially on serve, and Sanmi began to find a better rhythm making it a much tighter affair. Sanmi was a really gracious opponent. I look forward to playing him again."  -- Col
Reveal CommentGordon Coyne bt Richard Corrigan (Sep 14) 6-1, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "It was great to play Richie again. We had a number of games in which both of us made mistakes and also played some good shots. The final game of the second set was an epic with multiple deuces and advantages both ways until eventually I pulled through."  -- Gordon
Reveal CommentBen Westerman bt Gordon Coyne (Sep 11) 6-0, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "The first set was a very harsh score line for Gordon and very flattering for me - in reality most games went to at least 30-30 and I had a bit of luck in decisive moments. The 2nd set was fairly even, with Gordon taking a few more chances and me missing a few volleys, but in the end I held on. A pleasure to play with you Gordon, look forward to next time. Thanks!"  -- Ben
Reveal CommentRichard Corrigan v Cameron Loftus (Sep 9) 6-4, 6-7 (5-7) TBC

Player Comments:

  • "Cameron broke early in the 1st set to lead 3-1, then I broke back to go onto lead 5-3 & go onto win the 1st set, few deuce games, some really good shots, was competitive start, 2nd set was not much to divide us but at 5-4 & 6-5 up couldn’t finish the match with Cameron defending against match point & eventually taking the tie break 7-5, look forward to finishing the final set"  -- Richard
Reveal CommentCol Macpherson bt Cameron Loftus (Sep 3) 6-1, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "This was Cameron's first ever STL match. He has lots of great shots and was competitive throughout but wants to get more practice of building rallies in real matches. Quite a few of games went to deuce but I managed to win out in most of these. Cameron played the match in a great spirit and I am sure will enjoy his other matches."  -- Col
Reveal CommentBen Westerman bt Howard McCain (Aug 29) 6-4, 5-7, 6-2

Player Comments:

  • "A really hard fought match which could have gone either way - neither of us gave up and we both had periods we needed to dig deep to stay in the sets. A long and tiring match which was a pleasure to be part of. 1st set went with serve until Howard broke to make it 4-2 but I fought back to take it 6-4. 2nd set it was me who broke early and took a 4-2 lead myself, at which point Howard pulled out the big serves and clawed it back, eventually taking it 7-5 3rd set was very tight until I eventually broke the 4-2 curse with a flukey drop shot and then was able to hold my serve to take it 6-2. Good luck for the rest of your matches Howard and thanks for the game!"  -- Ben
