Player Comments:
- "Thank you to Stefano for coming to Swindon for the match. It was all decided in a very close first set, in which we had our usual long rallies and deuce games. Once I came through that I think Stefano let the 2nd set go, especially as the breezy conditions weren't great." -- Nicholas
Player Comments:
- "Match started fairly comfortable for me taking a 3-0 lead. Maybe I relaxed a bit too much, but Stefano piled on the pressure and we fought hard for every point, the set finishing 6-3. Second set started very close reaching 3-3 with some tight games. Then managed to take the last 3 games. " -- Gianni

Player Comments:
- "As always it was good to play with Nigel and we always have a friendly but competitive contest. The first set was won convincingly by Nigel. I went two games without winning a point followed by what seemed like a marathon deuce game at 4-1 which Nigel won before taking the set. The second I managed to find renewed confidence to win 6-0 and maintained momentum to take the third set likewise. Thanks Nigel again for the match." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "An enjoyable match, with some good rallies and several deuces. Andy hit some good, flat ground strokes which were tricky to deal with, and some nice serves, but I think I was just a bit more consistent. Hope to see you in a future round, Andy. " -- Patrick
Player Comments:
- "A fine match. Carlos played some excellent tennis. I broke Carlos’ serve in the first set but then every game went with serve. The second set flipped at first and neither of us seemed to be able to win our service games. At 3-2 I found a bit of form and Carlos (which was out of character) hit a few double faults. A thoroughly enjoyable game and I look forward to a rematch. " -- Nigel
Player Comments:
- "An enjoyable and close match! Andy played some gtreat tennis, especially some of his serves and drop shots. I look forward to another match." -- Nigel
Player Comments:
- "Another enjoyable match with Patrick. Scoreline doesn't truly reflect the closeness with plenty of good rallies and several games going to deuce. Looking forward to our next encounter." -- Alastair
Player Comments:
- "Good to meet and play Andy for first occasion. The match was closer than scoreline suggests with several games going to deuce. I look forward to our next encounter." -- Alastair

Reveal CommentPatrick Zebedee bt Nigel Hopkins (Apr 19) 6-4, 1-6, 6-4Player Comments:
- "A close, and very enjoyable early morning match After a pretty even first set, Nigel raised his level, and mine dropped in the second, and I was lucky to avoid a bagel. Then roles reversed as I took a 5-0 lead in the third, before they reversed again, with Nigel almost staging a glorious comeback. Thanks, Nigel, and good luck with your other matches!" -- Patrick
Player Comments:
- "A close match that ebbed and flowed between us, with some good, long rallies. Carlos hit some great forehand winners and lobs to take the second set, but I was able to keep the ball away from his strengths in the first and third, so edged it. Thanks Carlos, and good luck for your other matches!" -- Patrick
Player Comments:
- "This match was played over two evenings due to bad light preventing us from starting the second set. Both sets were very tight, but I managed to get past the post in both, the first time I have won after a number of attempts against Carlos. As always it was an enjoyable and well-spirited match and Carlos is always very encouraging. I look forward to our next one. " -- Alastair
Group Summary:

Tony had his three match winning streak ended by Andrew in the last match of the round but this was still enough for him to comfortably take the silver.

Looking forward to our next one!" -- Joseph
