Another successful round for this league with a record number of players and a good number of matches played. Thanks for your efforts and we hope you enjoyed yourselves. Well done to the new group champs and we hope to see you all next time for more matches throughout the summer.
Group Summary:
Tony battled through marathon matches with Ben and Eric to finish with a 100% winning record and put himself in the hunt for the title. Chris joins Tony at the top of the table, with three straight set wins and bonus points seeing him take a much easier path to the summit. Unfortunately their head to head wasn't played, and so after consulting the rule book bonus points are removed and it is therefore Tony that takes the crown.

- "This match took about four hours over two days: there were many long points and close games. Ben had a nasty fall in returning a drop shot near the end of the second set. He soldiered on and came back from 4-0 down to level it in the last set, but I just managed to get over the line," -- Tony

Group Summary:
This group was unfortunately hit by a couple of no shows and a withdrawal (hope you're ok Stephan), so we didn't see as many matches played as we would have liked. Fraser made the most of his time on the court, emerging victorious from his three tough matches to take pole position. Nigel also played three matches and was the only player to bag his bonus points, and this good scheduling alongside his determined performance against the champ saw him move into second place.
