Group Summary:
It was a close call for top spot, with debutants Callum and Steve both showing no signs of nerves to secure a trio of wins to finish level on points. The match between the two is therefore a winner takes all affair and it was Callum who walked away with a hard fought victory to clinch his maiden title. A special mention to Jonathan and Giuseppe who made it onto court against all of their opponents - good work.

- "The first set was as tight as it gets. On a blazingly hot day, winning the first set was always going to be the key. In the second set, the match settled into attack versus defence. I managed to nick the tenth game to clinch it. Neither of us would have relished a deciding set in those conditions. An interesting clash of styles and a thoroughly enjoyable match. " -- Jonathan
Group Summary:
A round of applause to Slobodan who produced a terrific performance to win every match he played and deservedly take the gold. Credit to Ahmed who made sure the new champ didn't have it all his own way, winning a set in their see saw head to head to take the match to a third set decider. Mia came second in the wins chart but this isn't quite enough to clinch the silver. Miles may have won one fewer match, but he also added scheduling skills to his game and picked up a point from an epic defeat to Mia to narrowly climb into the runner up spot.

There were a number of memorable matches in group three, but the incredible 7-6, 6-7, 7-6 battle of the Wadey's (no relation we are informed) was perhaps the highlight of the round.
