Player Comments:

  • "It was good to meet Cary. We played on a warm, slightly windy day at Marine Park on New Brighton seafront. Cary hasn't played matches since last August and was maybe a little rusty. He has a good first serve when everything clicks together and on occasion also hit some nice forehand drives. The courts at Marine Park are very spinny so the ball has to be watched very closely. I am much more used to these courts than Cary is at the moment and they suit my spin game well. A lot of my shots seemed to work today and I probably made less errors than usual. We had quite a few games where Cary was on game point but unluckily couldn't quite get over the line. I'm sure with a few more matches his scores will improve. Thanks for the match Cary. "  -- Peter
