Great to be back to two groups in Woking for round 30 of the league, and to see such a high percentage of matches being played. Many of you were returning regular members, renewing old rivalries or getting a chance to redeem yourselves from a loss in the past - it's just like the ATP tour (well, almost!). Congratulations to both the winners and runners-up, and well played all of you. We love to read your commentaries on the matches and how easily the balance can change in a match so please keep your comments coming and we look forward to hearing more in the next round.

Group Summary:

Congratulations to Guillaume for winning Group 1 this round, jumping a couple of places up from his finish in 4th during the autumn; some great tennis played. Well done also to Benjamin, who consistently finishes well, a close runner-up this time though following his win last time. It's always good to see players get the chance to re-play previous opponents as it's a great way to see how your tennis has improved and practise new strategies; good to see many of you agree and are looking forward to your next encounters with familiar faces!

Group Summary:

Group 2 played some great matches during this round, with Mike narrowly taking the winner's crown this time, forcing Carlo into runner-up position; well played both of you! Unfortunately their head-to-head was one of the few matches that didn't get played, so the battle for top spot might have been even closer! Everyone looks to have had some good evenly matched games, with the odd topsy-turvy result making us wonder what the key points were to change the scores - Carlo and Mike fought it out for a first set tie-break, which Carlo narrowly lost, before storming back to take the second and third sets 6-1, 6-0; this sounds like it would have been a great match to be a spectator for! Do tell us the stories in your commentaries, it's always interesting to read how easily fortunes can change in tennis and we look forward to more of this in the next round!
