To sign up you need to create a profile with us and get an LTA Number here. This will provide you with an LTA Advantage account and login details so you can keep returning to the site and manage your Leagues and Rounds. Getting an LTA Number will also provide you with an ITF World Tennis Number, which helps us understand your playing standard, so we can place you in the correct group.

When you sign up, you can indicate which League you are interested playing in. This will save in your account and means that you will be emailed directly with updates or entry links to the next Round. If you want to add more Leagues to your account, click 'Edit your details', then 'e-mail subscriptions' and then type in the League you'd like to subscribe to, and click 'Save'.

Please don’t create a new account. To log in, please use your LTA Advantage username and password. If you've forgotten your details, follow the buttons on the log in page to reset them.

Every League has 5 Rounds in a year, which run for 8 weeks. The dates for each Round can be found on the individual League pages. Your matches must be played within the Round dates.

Log into your account and find the League/s you want to join from our Leagues page and click on the ‘Join By’ button. If you can't see a ‘Join By’ button this means there is no Round to join or it has already begun. You can sign up as a late joiner here (we'll do our best to fit you in). If you have indicated in your account that you are interested in playing in this League, you will be emailed directly when a Round does open.

The entry fee covers winners’ prizes, bonus prizes at the midway point, customer service and other administration costs. This does not cover the cost of courts, but some park courts are free!

You should play between 5 and 8 matches depending on the group size and how many people join.

Local Tennis Leagues is open for everyone and we will make sure to create groups based on players' experience according to their ITF World Tennis Number.

During the sign up process, you are required to get a LTA Number. In doing so, you will activate your ITF World Tennis Number - a universal rating system for tennis players. We use each player's WTN to organise the groups for every Round. Your Local Tennis Leagues results will influence your WTN, so the more matches you play, the more accurate it'll be.

Once a Round has launched we cannot change your group placement. We have placed you in the best possible group according to your ITF World Tennis Number. The Leagues are dynamic and change every Round depending on who signs up.

This is up to you and your opponents. Matches are arranged between opponents at a mutually agreed time and place (some Leagues do have primary venues which you can use as a guide).

Once the sign up deadline has passed, we will sort each player into the correct group according to their ITF World Tennis Number. The day before the Round starts, we send an email with all the information you need, including contact details for players in your group.

You and your opponent will agree on who books and pays for the court. It is then up to you to arrange a shared payment of the booking fee.

Use the ‘Report Match Results Here’ button on your League home page or the 'Report Scores' button in your profile. We will then approve the score within 48 hours and then publish it into your Round page.

If you can no longer participate in a Round and wish to withdraw, please send us an email so we can officially withdraw you. As stated when you sign up, refunds, coupons and transfers are not given out once a Round has started, for any reason, even if you haven't played any matches yet.

We will send a Round report summary within the week after the Round closes, which includes the winner's prizes.

Any match played after the last day of the Round will not be approved. The last day is the cut off point to finish your matches so don’t delay in arranging your them with your group.

We recommend:
1. Contact people individually with your availability
2. Offer to book a court
3. Book a court and offer your availability to one or all players (you can always cancel the court)
4. Try texting or calling if an email isn't being responded to

All players who play 3 matches before the mid-point of the Round qualify for a free tube of tennis balls or racket vibration dampeners. You will receive an email from us to confirm if you’ve qualified. Use the link in the email to claim your prize and be sure to do so before the link expires after 28 days.

The winner of the group receives a Winner's Coupon up to the value of £20. You can use this in our shop or purchase a future Round.  

You will find your coupon in your account under the 'Coupons' tab. Log into your account, copy and paste it and redeem the coupon at the checkout. Be sure to check the expiry date so you don't miss out.

When you join Local Tennis Leagues, you are required to have an LTA Advantage account. As an LTL player, you are automatically entitled to the Play+ tier of LTA Advantage. Registration for LTA Advantage is via the main LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) website and is quick and easy to do. Find out more here.

All Local Tennis Leagues match results are automatically sent to the LTA after a score has been approved (please do not self-submit your results). They will appear in 'My Game' in your LTA Advantage account. Your results will also influence your ITF World Tennis Number, but to see any significant changes to your Number, you will need to play multiple matches across a longer period of time.

Before you can log in, you will need to create an account with us. Click here to do so.

Once you have an account with us, click ‘log in’ in the top, right hand corner. You will be redirected to LTA Advantage where you can log in with your username and password. You will then be redirected back to the LTL website.

If you have forgotten your username or password, follow the instructions on the LTA Advantage log in page to reset your credentials.

If you’re having issues logging in or have changed details, please do not create a new account. Contact us if you need help logging in or want to reopen a closed account.

On the ‘Edit your details’ tab you can:

At the time you created an account with us, you’d have selected which Leagues you’d like to be a part of and receive information about. You can add or change these details in your account.

On the ‘Edit your details’ tab of your account page, navigate to the Email Subscriptions tab.

Here you can add or remove Leagues to the list of Leagues you are interested in and choose whether or not to receive emails about those Leagues.

• If you don’t wish to receive emails about Leagues/Round, tick this box: ‘Control how we send emails to you from the website’.

• If you wish to receive our weekly newsletter and other updates, tick the subscribe box.

When you join a doubles Round you will be asked to indicate if you have a playing partner or if you'd like us to pair you with someone. 

If you've nominated a partner, they will also need to sign up and pay in the same way you have, and nominate you as their partner.

If you don't have a partner, you can still sign up and we will do our best to pair you up (a full refund will be issued if we aren’t able to partner you for the Round). 

The day before your Round begins, your opponent’s contact details will be emailed to you and also appear in your account (ensure you’re logged in). Click ‘Show Contacts’ next to the Round name to see all details. 

Once logged in, navigate to your account and click on ‘Report Scores’ next to the current Round. At the top of the page you’ll see each potential match that you can report scores for. Click on the appropriate link and follow the prompts to enter the score. 

After a result is reported:

• All results are reviewed and authorised by the Local Tennis Leagues team before being added to the group standings.

• The match will be marked ‘awaiting approval’ during this process.

• Both players (teams for doubles) will receive an email confirmation when the match is approved.

Revising a match:

If you submitted a 'To be completed' score and you've made further progress or completed the match, click the 'Update/Complete Score' button next to the match to edit the match score. It will then be approved following the same steps as above.

If you'd like to submit a revision to a score or add commentary, click the pencil icon next to the score and leave your message. It will be reviewed by the team and amended.
