How It Works
Adult players of all standards are warmly invited to join one of the many leagues around the UK. Everyone is welcome. It's a great way to meet new players, get fit and enjoy friendly, competitive tennis.
It's simple:
- The leagues are open to adults aged 18 and over
- They are mixed sex, singles leagues, so men and women play each other
- Doubles and women's only leagues are available in some venues, and there is one 60+ league (Highbury & Highgate, north London)
- Players are organised into groups of up to 8 people of a similar standard
- Contact details are emailed the afternoon or evening before it starts
- Players arrange their own matches at a mutually convenient time
- Players share the cost of courts and any court that suits both players can be used
- Players submit result - and if they wish, match commentaries - via the website
- Everyone who plays 3 matches conforming to the league format by the half way point earns a bonus prize, usually a free can of tennis balls.
- Winners of each group win a prize.
Returning Players
Your new Local Tennis Leagues website now gives you your own logged in player area. We will be developing this section to give you a more personalised experience of playing in the leagues.
Just log in to join a new round and submit results. We have created accounts for all existing players and emailed you a temporary password. You can change this after you log in to the site.
