Think of it as an early Christmas present, but we have one more round starting this year, a special ten week round taking us in to the New Year. Hope you can play - it is the perfect antidote to Christmas shopping!

Player Comments:

  • "This match was started a couple of weeks ago and then finally completed this evening! On the first occasion we took 2 hours for the score to only reach 6-4, 2-2 so as one could imagine there were lots of very long and close games! The whole match was a very close affair and closer than the final set score of 6-2 might suggest "  -- Ben

Reveal CommentBen Harling bt Amit Kapoor (Sep 27) 6-0, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5

Player Comments:

  • "Really great match with lots of ups and downs and swings in momentum! We had to play the match over 2 days due to courts getting booked up and this affected Amit in a worse way than it did me, as he almost certainly would have been able to win the match had we been able to play to a conclusion the first time around. Please note that the final set score was actually 8-6 in this match as we decided not to play a final set tiebreak- unfortunately the website however would not allow the correct score to be entered. "  -- Ben

Group Summary:

Well done to Joe, no stranger to LTL but a first-timer in the AELTC league, who is a group winner on his first try. Impressively he only needed three matches to do it - efficient scheduling added bonus points to take him ahead of Leila. In fact that was the defining match of the group with Joe turning round a bagel-set start to go on to triumph against the group runner up. Nice tennis all - and hope the hip is better Tim!
