Original dates: Thursday 5 March 2020 to Wednesday 29 April 2020 (Midpoint: Wednesday 1 April 2020)

Sadly the Coronavirus crisis overtook this round. Even though some great matches were played, the round didn't make it to the midpoint and the competition was abandoned. Bonus point prizes were of course honoured and qualifying matches sent to the LTA for the purpose of BTM ratings, but this round will have no group winners. Instead, all players receive a round credit and are encouraged to join the next or a future round. Can't wait to get back on court and all players will be notified of new rounds starting!

Reveal CommentRaquel Pinto bt Susie Rushton (Mar 13) 6-4, 6-3

Player Comments:

  • "It was a pleasure to meet and play with Susie on such great indoor courts at AELTC. It felt we were of similar level and as such was a long, competitive and close match with multiple deuces on many games and as such I was the lucky one to get some of the important points otherwise it could’ve easily gone the other way round. Susie carried on fighting despite near injury and disruptions from the class beside us when we were already overtime and I’m sure these may have impacted in some of her last shots so I’m certain that if we play again I may not hold the title! Thanks Susie and all the best on your next matches."  -- Raquel
Reveal CommentBrendan Mulcahy bt Isobel Stephen (Mar 10) 6-3, 4-6, 6-1

Player Comments:

  • "We always have great matches and this was another close contest. The error count was fairly high - swirling wind didn't help - but there were plenty of convincing winners and we hit consecutive volleys to write home about in the first set! Cheers, Isobel!"  -- Brendan
