A facility built for the local community

The new facility is a Pay & Play Centre open to the public. It runs adult and junior tennis courses and 'drop in' sessions. At the weekends, it is home to the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative coaching programme.

A privately-owned site, it is located in Raynes Park, London. It is owned by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) and is 3.5miles from Centre Court.

At the heart of the Community Sports Ground is a Pay & Play tennis centre which is open to the public for casual play, individual and group coaching sessions.

The tennis centre is used by the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative for their weekend coaching sessions.

During the build up to The Championships, the Ball Boys and Ball Girls also use the centre for their training, which can impact on the availability of facilities.

The facilities at the Community Sports Ground include six grass tennis courts and six acrylic hard tennis courts. The acrylic courts are Plexipave, which is the surface used at the Australian Open. Three of the courts are covered by a pressurised dome which is inflated all year round.

There are male and female changing facilities, however there are currently no shower facilities. We have male, female & disabled toilets and there is a break out area to relax in.
